I absolutely love the look of your bike. All it needs are rear sets...

His last set of rearsets (on his Triton) were back by the rear axle.

I don't think this one is getting any...

Thanks for the kind words. I'm going to be painting the tank to match the side covers and front fender in the silver and deep candy apple red.

Really, how? I really like the contrasting side covers and fender to the alloy tank.

The tank has a beautiful shape but is made of aircraft grade aluminum which is great for strength, but doesn't polish like "softer" grades. For me an alloy tank needs a mirror finish. I'm afraid to really "lay into it" on my polishing wheels. It is for this reason I've decided to paint it in a two tone scheme using the sparkly silver and deep candy red. Trust me on this, it will look spectacular when done.

Gortnipper, I wasn't building this as a "caff" with rear sets as I wanted a more relaxed riding position. I have a Triumph "Caff" with clip ons and rear sets and that thing will wear you out (or me!) in less than a 1/2 hour in the saddle......Skip

My legs are extra long, and rear sets are way more comfortable for me so I might make an hour!

I trust the paint job will be great. I just have a soft spot for polished alloy tanks on Nortons.

This is my 1974.. Bought it in May of 2004..

Its been off the road about 6 years due to some frame damage..

Going to start the refurb this week :)
