Me from about 1977...this bike looks like a beast but it was fun to ride. Sorry about the photobucket thing across the middle but I don't know how to retrieve it without that damned thing.

Me at 42 years of age, at Daytona in 1984, in my first racing leathers. Note the high quality quilted horsehair padding for safety. I had them custom made for me when I started racing in 1972. They were flat track style, but with some mods to make them suitable for road racing. 1984 was the last year for them. The doctors cut them off of me after a serious crash at Willow Springs, also in 1984.

These were the race bikes of my racing pal at the time, Chris Scott, and I, in a poor quality picature of our pit area at the 1984 Daytona AMA race. It was the first time at Daytona for both of us.

The red Commando at the front is Chris' bike, and the PR and featherbed at the rear are mine.

Nice. Gotta be some good off track memories too! Thanks for digging this up and sharing.

Not me but my older brother . Early to mid 1960’s - I would have been around ten years old . My older sister had a Honda 50 step through at the time and I remember her convincing my brother to let her ride the BSA . She took it up the street and dropped it doing a U turn. Note the hi tech paddock stand !
