Pictures of your Norton 961

Hello again , Yes the 961 is a 506 lb motorcycle. What year and model is the Ducati ? I have a 2009 HD XR1200 and it weighs 585 lb. But somehow it feels good going down the road same with the Norton 961 . I had picked up the stripped crankcase of a Norton 961 and was very surprised at how heavy the empty cases are.
'18 V4 Speciale. Had a Pikes Peak 1260. previously but don't do the miles on it anymore so got something a bit more exciting for the 1k or so miles I do on it every year...certainly ticks the exciting box!!

I had a 1260 Pikes Peak. Without doubt the best bike I’ve had and most likely ever will have.

Fabulously capable.

My only criticism of it being that it was way too easy to go way too fast on. But that’s probably more telling about failures of my self discipline than failure of the Duck !

The other criticism is that it's fugly! 👍 No reflection on you, I hope.

Nothing is heavier that a fat hog. Especially one that turns about as equal as the 961. I struggle to see how anyone can ride a dresser hog with floor boards and forward controls. Blows my mind.
 
Yesterday I met some friends at the Ace Cafe in Lucerne for the British bike meet. I'm very embarrassed to admit it was my first time out on the 961 this year. However, since I rode it last I have made a couple of changes. The Noco battery now resides under the airbox, and where it used to be there is now a master isolating switch. The bike has been sat in the garage for about 6 months since I last started it. Yesterday morning I turned the switch on, ignition on, hit the starter button and she fired up immediately and settled to an even tickover. (Well pleased) the second change was to make 30mm risers for the handlebars. Wow, what a difference, it's so much more comfortable.
Anyway I was about to leave the Ace Cafe when I saw somebody pull in on a Dominator. I got chatting to him, and it turns out he is Olivier from France. His bike is beautiful as he has done a lot of work on it, however one thing he didn't have was one of my throttle pulley covers. Well as luck would have it, I had popped one in my bag before I set off, so we soon put that right, and he was over the moon when I fitted it for him. Here are some pics....
