Hi Mud, Looks excellent, a competition version, maybe Akront rims, early alloy oil tank, Mikuni carbs, but photo too small to tell details, but very nice.

Cheers Guys, spot on with the wheels, I am about to fit a full front guard to hopefully stop some twist in the forks, its matching numbers and very original parts. it shipped out to Seattle in April? 1967. the carb was a mess when I got the bike, spent a lot of time re jetting, it runs fantastic now, so leaving Makuni on. have twin carbs on a commando and always adjusting. it had straight thru pipes as well but I put small silencers on because of local bill (police).
Was knocked off it last May by a women wanting a better view from a junction, luck was with me as bike and me not too damaged. will sort some more pics sometime. Cheers. Keep it pinned.
 
had a look at the wheels this week, weird, excel not akront. must have akront on other bike
