The embarrassing throwback pictures of your/our/my bikes & me

I'm not sure I'm entirely comfortable with the 2-smoke vein this thread is moving to... ???
The vein is "embarrassing pictures of people and bikes " nothing about no strokers ?
So here's a photo of my embarrassing T500 ;) ;)

That's not embarrassing, that looks pretty cool.

This may be embarrassing, but my grandson loved it.View attachment 83546
That t500 was not the easiest bike to ride
Not with the amateurish porting that I attempted
It turned out the narrow power band that I tuned into it was just above the redline and riding it on the road like that was quite interesting!!!
I started off with low clipons that moved up to the top yoke and then I changed to flat bars
When I got that bike it was a hard tail chop but I fancied a manic stroker caff at that time
So I rebuilt the subframe and added some bracing ,I wanted it to look like a crooks Suzuki
This was at least 35 years ago

Yes it was
That one was from a rocket 3
I extended the cam levers by 1/2" and that worked well
I had tried extending them by 1" but that gave too much lever movement at the bars

That brake was the reason I sold my Mk 2 Rocket 3, no one put disc forks on them at the time ( of course I regret selling it now) !

You mean the drum on the R3 was the world first ABS on a motorcycle :D
Yeah - I had a 1968 6 cylinder Holden ute that used to do that "stop-the-engine" thingy that modern cars do at traffic lights. Must have been a world first for Holden.
The only thing was it didn't re-start when you took your foot off the brake!
