Did you have it painted in the JPS colour scheme with the Interstate tank?

If so, could you post some pics of it please?

Skip, you really need to take a few side-on pix in good light, as close as possible without chopping off the edges of the tires, then post them up at about 1000 pixels width.

Bike looks excellent, the colors are growing on me.

Hey all, new guy here. First off I'd like to thank you all for sharing your wrenching knowledge. With your help and the FM my bike is coming along.
I have roadster in my screen name but I'm really not sure what model it is. I hope you can narrow it down for me. It's #'s matching 20M3S/142523.
I think it's a roadster with a hi-rider tank. Here's what I got done last summer to get it on the road.

I put 700 miles on it, but it was using a qt of oil in 90 miles. This winter I put rings/ pistons in, had local guru Randy Baxter do the head, had AMR
do the timing cover to hopefully stop the wet sumping, 21 tooth sprocket/chain, and swapped the leaking kick shaft o-ring for a seal. I got the RITA
timing close as it burped on the first kick and idled on the third yesterday. I'm stoked! I have to finish setting the timing, verify oil pressure, and go
seat some rings today. Here's how it looks back in the garage last night. I also put a stock seat on it. Thanks again for all the tech help. I'm used to
spinning spanners on old Kaw/Yamaha 2 strokes and wrenching on this bike has been a real learning experience.

The rest of this winters wrenching pics are here.

Hey 99cyclone,
I'm in Cedar Falls. That is a very sharp looking bike you have.
Mine's a 10 footer, but I like it that way. I just look for barn
bikes and do the mechanics to make the roadworthy.
The paint is what it is.

Regards, Don

Oh, I do like that! Going to have my FB in Metalflake soon - Back to the Seventies! I love this thread, you can never have too many Commando pics. Keep 'em coming!
Cheers, Martin

Welcome, Keith. I'm not recalling another original owner '75 on this forum, VERY nice bike (the truck isn't too shabby, either)
