so the lockdown has at least had a positive for me as I finally got around to doing something with my 1971 "bitsa" 750 Commando that I bought in 1989 but took off the road in 1991 because it was tired and needed a lot of work doing to it and I had just take an overseas work assignment, so 29 years later and quite a few hours of work it has now been transformed into this...

Very nice, indeed.

I like the oil tank; I did one similar, using the standard Commando tank. It's not all that hard, and works great 'till its time to drain the tank; I just slip off the oil line at the engine...
 
it was around mid-April when I finally got my "DOA" 74 Mk2 re-wired, serviced, and running good enough to start putting some miles on it. passed the 1000 mile mark yesterday on my way to old St. Augustine. battling some minor oil leaks, but overall, running like a top!

what is front m/cyl? any good?

Very nice Joe - just curious- how many miles does it take to wear off the red stripe on the TT 100’s ? I’ve put on a little over 200 on mine and while the white stripe is gone , the red remains...

pic is a couple months old - taken right after finishing the alton starter mod. tires were installed about 3-4 hundred miles ago. both red and white, front and rear are pretty much gone.
