Looks like a kick-ass, Hobot gravel machine to me!!! Now that's a bike Hobot could bury up to its frame and walk away proud!

I think Hobot would be much happier on this. Yesterday wasthe first ride on it this year, still lots of mud out there. I did not oil the chain!

Black and gold on red, beeeutiful.
Nice carbs.
More info please XTINCT.
Did you ride it, who was the tuner, Trackmaster frame...?
AC.

Realize my first Norton was pure P!! dragster, not as pretty or fancy seat as this beauty but a deep gold dusted Kandy Apple Red I'd take on this beauty with at drop of a hat. Ms Peel in her prime could not match the whiplash sprints of my ole P!!.

That big fat dirt tire make me drool, can it air low for the rough crap yet still not bottom tire on rim on edge strikes. Its taken most a decade to creep up on my Peel project to seeing an end to it someday. I much prefer my tri-linked Combat for off road delights and travel thank you very much. Good move to leave chain w/o grit holding oil.

Short stroker? Mag? Is that one or two Mikunis
Come on XTINT, throw us a bone. What are ya scared of?

The Red Flattracker has the following.
C & J frame
880 engine by T.C. Christensen (ever hear of him?)
34 mm Mikunis
Belt primary
Hand fabbed exhaust
Yamaha R6 forks
Triumph TR5T aluminum fuel tank (had to have tunnel cutouts to clear throttle cables)
Dyna coil
Total loss battery ignition w/Boyer
I built this bike to ride in District 16 AMA amatuer short tracks and 1/2 miles in the Senior class (40 to 49 year olds). I was seriously injured on my XR650L on the night before I was going to race it for the first time. It has been raced @ Davenport, Iowa in the VDTRA vintage races and was raced in the AMA Supertracker National @ Superior WI on June 23, 2001. Steve Kasten of Hately, WI finished as well as 2nd @ Davenport and qualified for the main at Superior. It is always a crowd favorite. At Superior, the filled Grandstand was cheering for Steve throughout the qualifier and the main, pretty much ignoring the National numbers up front. After the race, we had a bigger crowd in our pit than any of the cirquit regulars. It was a head trip that none of us will ever forget. The engine was built to have a flat powerband for the slippery short tracks and is very underpowered for pro half miles. Steve really had to ride the wheels off to do as well as he did.

Heres a pic of my MK2A in front of the Mirboo North brewery last week making the most of the good run of autumn weather.
nothing too special after the flat tracker but still a delight to ride!

About 200 klms of corners

Just curious if your license plate is the "real deal"??? I ended up with NQRTQN after a long search on my DMV's website....can't tell they're "Q's" until you're right up on the back of the bike.

Bulldogge

Yeah Bulldogge thanks for the compliment, but I dont think you would realy like a close up of the tank, it was done by a mate about 20 years ago, charcoal metallic with self adhesive decals and pinstripe, with spies hecker two pack clear over the top, when new it was first class very deep like you could swim in it but over the years it has suffered the usual accidents and abuse, stains from non sealing gas cap and grit stuck under the magnets of the tank bag, still looks good from a distance though.
