Pictures of your Norton Commandos

Latest iteration of the Trident Hunter.

Less show, more go this year, as I’ve de blinged it somewhat and added a few go faster goodies.

Thank you sir.

It sounds freakin’ awesome !

It’s not the easiest bike I’ve ever had to kick over though.

It just needs a longer kickstart lever, about another 3ft should do it I think.

Just off down the gym now for 3 hours of right leg strength building exercises...

Class Nigel, class. But I am afraid you will have to rename the bike now because there will not be a Trident in the country that would stay with that. You will out brake, out accelerate and out corner those lard asses, how about Trident leader. Nice one.

Ha! Thanks Ralph. Not sure about your hypothesis there though, truth is some of those pesky Tridents are rather brisk, but don’t tell anyone I said that!

Now I just gotta get it shaken down and run in etc for Mallory...

Sam, I cut it after you said that last time.

Am I supposed to do it again?!
Isn't the wife supposed to? Or the kids? Pay them a pound, but they will ask for five at least.

Looking sweet. Need a Maney logo to go with the CNW one, since there is much Maney DNA now.

Yes that’s the one. Had to open out the nipple hole a tad, but it works very well.

Yep thought so, same as mine.
It just doesn't seem to work as well on my Commando as on my Tridents.
Think it maybe a conspiracy of angles !
I will get to the bottom of it.

thanks
sam

It worked well with my Commando box I thought Sam.

The cNw hydraulic clutch was a distinct improvement though.

But the cable operated TTI box (Triumph twin lifter mechanism operating on a Norton diaphragm clutch) is the best yet!

All of the above were with Barnet plates and an extra plain plate to increase the stack height.

The stock clutch, when I first bought the bike, was not good. It was like and on / off switch and heavy on the lever. Even Alan said it was “viscous” !

True but the fast ones tend to be in Rob North/Harris frames, which disqualifies them, I very much doubt that a Trident that uses the standard frame like you have with the Norton would live with your Norton. I think you need to come to the Beezumph to prove my theory. :D

I would bloody love to come to Beezumph, especially as it’s at Cadwell. Trouble is, I had to make plans whilst they decided dates and venues and, long story short, I’ll be in Japan at the time.

I’m rather peeved actually...

Bugger, they have really struggled to get a venue this year, the circuits wouldn't commit until their calendars were sorted so the Beezumph is Thursday/ Friday this year.

Hope Japan doesn't disappoint.

If I got the wife or kids to do it I’d first have to get everything ready for them. Then when they’d ‘finished’ I’d have twice the job to do in finishing it off properly and tidying up after them.

Regarding the logo, I think the main thing to do is remove the Norton one, as there’s so little Norton left !
