Pictures of your Norton Commandos

My friends son Tyler posing on my Commando at the Bucket Racer Track. He had just come back from Spain trialing out for the RedBull Rookies Cup 2013. He missed out but then he is not 15 until November.

He's trying his hand at classic racing this weekend, riding a 350 Triumph....he normally rides an RS 125 Honda but he's not allowed to ride a 500...

This is my 1970 750 commando. I got it from graigslist as a true basket case. Milk crates, a bare frame and two wheels. Its bad-ass and loud

I'll bet that one turns some heads.

Here is my 1971 750 Commando Roadster. It was my fathers bike for 15 years or so. I have owned it for 17 years now.

Nothin' wrong with Fireflake Blue!

Apparently this one is a Ford colour.

This bike was given to me by my dad when I turned 18. I'm 34 now. I have neglected her a bit but have thrown a few grand into it a few times over the years.

It has a Boyer Bransden ignition, belt drive primary, etc. It has a K&N filter on it at the moment but I'll be putting an original style air cleaner back on it in the near future.

I'm happy for this bike to be a tidy near original old girl. I'll be restoring it for as long as I can twirl spanners, then if my son is deserving it might be his one day.

I've replaced the bars and levers etc since the photo was taken. Still needs new tyres, a few new hoses, a new tail light fairing etc.

I recently sold my Harley and have started buying the bits to build a second Commando.

I got a few parts last night so I decided to do a quick mock up:

I've got most of the engine components, gearbox, primary, wheels, forks, etc. etc. in boxes.

here's the one that ALMOST got away......

At the beginning of the summer, I put the baby on CL.... thinking that I was ready to sell it. One of the local members of this fine group e-mailed me and essentially said" WHAT ARE YOU DOING???" and as I went out for a 75-ish mile ride.... I said to myself :" damn, he's right! I can't get rid of my baby!" So I took it off CL and have been loving life all fall, commuting every chance I can get.

You might remember my bike, I won the 'most improved' award back in '10......

I haven't been checking in all that much recently , but as i start my winter projects, you can rest assured that I'll be checking in much more. I got it rebuilt and road ready in it's first rebuild, now it's time to make some of the upgrades that I've wanted to do to get the bike to that next level of sexiness 8)

73 850, Ok, the frame was cut in the 70's, I just got it in August and put it together and changed a few things.
Honestly I am here to get some info, I really like the Norton power plant, I have other brit bikes, but these are smooth and powerful.
Its tore down now, I'm doing engine work and frame/paint work.

Let the flaming begin!!
