Hi Richard,
What did you use for coloring the Norton word on the right cover? I quite like it. Was it a difficult thing to do? Thanks.
Best regards,
Henry

Super easy. I used a heat cure paint. Masked around pretty rough. Sprayed. Wiped off where I didn’t want. Went for a three hr ride to bake the paint on. Next day when cool, polished the cover.

Nice empty roads ?

If you look very closely, I think you’ll see there’s a motorbike ...

The best day of the year weather wise; An empty(ish) A52 mean't I got to play in the 6k-7krpm bracket, awesome, still haven't red-lined her yet! Checked in to Chris Walkers Grantham to see if my new ride was on the horizon but alas not, took the opportunity to sling my leg over a few bikes anyway!

aha, so you have succumbed and ordered an evil american twin with 120HP?

Mind you, 6-7K and I bet you were flying on the 961

Was out on mine last night as per pictures and on part of the route i was tootling along at 75-80 mph and a group of sports bikes just blasted past me, maybe 110mph on country roads. I was happy to let them go and wouldn't want anything faster to keep up. The nakeds/semi-nakeds feel like proper motorcycling to me. I appreciate raw power don't get me wrong, but I would probably end up in a morgue prematurely

Sold the V7 on ebay, being picked up monday so more space in the very scruffy man cave. Whilst enjoying a beer, i counted up my internal combustion engine ownership and counted 15 including rotavators, strimmers, mowers, bikes, cars etc

Put a deposit down a couple of weeks back, just popped in to see how things were moving along. It seems one depositor has pulled out so they've offered me that one, but still don't know when.

I didn't break the speed limit once, honest officer, too many average speed cameras on that particular road! The gearbox is so silky above 5k and you can snick in and out of 3rd/4th and have a lot of fun playing tunes, I chicken out before the red line.... one day lol

I have an Indian dealer about 6 miles from me. How do you like it?

I have put about 1000 miles on it already, very smooth engine and quite torquey. The bike gets a lot of comments which I wasn't expecting. The V7 goes tomorrow so more room to admire the two left. I am hoping to keep the 961 long term, I love riding it and looking at it, but it must remain reliable. It will see between 1200-1800 miles per year which will be similar to the Indian so it should be many years before anything really needs doing.

Mark mentioned the slick gearbox and I have always found it to be pretty good also but on my ride the other night it did get stuck between 4th and 5th and made a right racket, took me a few monents to decide what to do, decided to pull the clutch in and come to a stop. All fine after that but was a bit alarmed at the time.

Just a little recommendation for the man cave. Beer is important of course, but if you don't want to go full sonos system, I can recommend the BOSE soundlink micro, excellent portability, sound and price.

I have the conical shaped Bose. They are spectacular! Helluva shed!

Didn’t know you could have the same plate in different vehicles. They don’t allow that in Canada. Your lambo and Norton have same plate. BO55 ETG

Same here, I imagine he’s moved the plate from one vehicle to the other.
