Lex.

You bought Motads. Mine are South Bay Norton. They may be angled differently so Raphi might be right about where to put the protectors. On my pipes, right where the damage is.

Dang see just what you mean when you pointed out how your bikes exhaust was damaged right where I currently have my exhaust protectors located. So did you end up buying some? What did you do to the damaged exhaust?
Me too, I have the SBN new generation exhausts and the angle is definitely different. It is no more the exhaust touching first but the foot peg and chain clearance is no issue anymore as well...

I just installed a set of the new generation SBN that I bought from a gent that sold his Norton. Definitely a steeper upswept angle. They sound a little raspier. I like the original SBN a little better. Deeper and throatier just a touch but both are excellent. Happy about the way they are on hangers too. So......last piece of damage to change is the primary cover. I'll get to that later on. I'm having too much fun.

Very nice shot. Where is that area?

Hi Richard,
This is a pub 'The Bulls Head' on the Stratford Road which runs from Solihull to the south of Birmingham, where I live, through some nice little villages Hampton in Arden and Wootton Wawen where this is located on to Stratford on Avon. An excellent route for a summertime bicycle based pub crawl.

Just back from Brattleboro and Guilford where the life of Stanley Lynde was celebrated.

Stanley brought my '75 Norton 850 back to life in 2011 after I had given up. All he required was a service manual. When I picked it up he told me his only regret is that he didn't have time to test ride it himself.

Naturally, I went to Stanley when the wheel bearing blew out on my 961 rear wheel. Despite being busy as heck the day I brought the wheel into his shop, he stopped what he was doing and analyzed it in quick fashion. He was the first to declare that nothing I did caused the bearing to fail. I sent his recommendation to Norton UK that same day.

That tank is lush,I wonder if anyone has bought the alloy tank & had it sprayed in standard paintwork trim ?
Why would anyone do that?
I have the.....
Brushed tank on my Dominator Naked.
Polished tank on my Commando SF.
One black and one titanium painted plastic tank.
I couldn't imagine painting the aluminum tanks.

Another vote for Rizoma. I got them from Moore Speed Racing in Dorset. The adapters are part no BS711B.

I'm a fan of the Rizoma brand.

Lexngton turned me on to this site. I got them much cheaper than usual retail and free shipping. They have close out sales on certain items. Rizoma tends to change up styles pretty often. Italian chic. ;)

Wow. Just noticed, they still have these on sale for 79.75 Euros. I have black and gold but the silver would look mint on your bike. Regular price is about 114 Euros. Cheers.
