My 1971 Fastback, i bought in 1985, proves his 40 years, but sounds good.

Some years ago, in july and november 2005, i lived some times in NY City and i have seen many time a green fastback, around near Time square! Someone has?

Nice pic, but the water's on the wrong side!

definitely NOT on the wrong side...I'm on the west coast, was headed west, and going downhill at that ;-)

You should head over to the "Left Coast" of Florida some time, Bill. We ride over here with a fun group of vintage riders and regularly enjoy water views on the "correct" side. :p

I go over to the 'wrong' side every so often. #2 son just moved to Tampa this summer - works for a multi-national civil contractor. Last time I was there, I stopped by Dime City Cycles - a shop that builds Cafe bikes, mostly Hondas, but occasionally some English iron.

If anybody over there is interested, the last Saturday in January is a big AMCA bike show in Dania Beach
http://www.daniabeachvintagebikeshow.com/

Its typically about 1/3 British, 1/3 European/Japanese, 1/3 American. Last year there were over 250 bikes entered for judging. Winner in my class was a 1960 AJS 18TCS (Typhoon 600cc single). There are always a handful of Nortons, but the oldest English bikes are usually Eric's AJS singles from the 20s. Got a friend, Ike, who always brings something rare, like a 4-valve Rudge or pre-war Sunbeam.

Bill...send me a PM the next time you plan to visit the "wrong" side of FL. You may be pleasantly surprised that we actually have big hills, twistys and long sweeping curves approx. 45 minutes north of the Tampa Bay area. We might even be able to get Windy (aka "bill") to join us on a ride. I'm going on such a ride this weekend...a combo of the Vintage Japaneese Motorcycle Association's (Google VJMA) annual Christmas ride along with members of the local vintage group (Google COMA).

There's an area in Panama where you can watch the sun come up in the east over the Pacific Ocean.
