MOT today ( that’s out UK certificate of road worthiness) , at my local bike breakers for a 1st visit, bit of a cheesy name for the guys shop, gotta be many like it across the globe , there’s a Victorian warehouse next door rammed with parts of bikes of any age , so much so the owners not sure what he has got ( nowt for a 961) I’m sure , bike passed of course , but it has to make the 4 miles home , & attention Clive , I’ve put the original pipes on & cat pipe !

You are right, the Accy viaduct was built about thirty years before Ribblehead (1840) , I got sick of the chainguard fracturing after about the second time so I made a new one from stainless/s and while I was in the mood carried on and fabricated the cylinder cover as well. I love messing with my 961 and would forgive her anything , I'm afraid I'm smitten big time there's no hope for me. 🛠️ 🤩
I’m in the same (no hope) club PB:rolleyes:! Nice fab skills. Enjoy your riding.

Hi Peebee , You must have metal working equipment and the experience to use it . Nice work!

Have you put the original pipes on for the MOT? I was told it was not a requirement. They may put a notice of a loud exhaust on the MOT but that's all. Unfortunately my certificate was a bit of a mess from where the tester's ears had been bleeding......

Hello Richard , Did this break again ? Didn't you get this welded up a year or two ago ? How many miles have you clocked up since then ? :)
Hi Tony , yes it’s broken b4 , few years back , bike be laid up since September, however I’m off on a 4 day bike trip tomorrow to some great places so check in on these pic’s tomorrow, bikes done over 30,000 miles now

Good effort both - shows that this bike can be made reliable! The ‘30K Club’ sounds like something to aim for! Although doing the maths, I’ll likely be 125 years old before I join - don’t fancy my chances of getting into the Cafe Racer Crouch at that stage of the game!

Had his last bike ride at 102 years of age. Guess I've still got 21 years of riding time left. :)

You just gotta to get a hot chick for the pillion seat Ken! That’s enough to keep any rider ‘upright’, regardless of age!

Lake District in Cumbria for a few days , can’t go far around these parts without a “ Campbell “ mention, the father & son land & water speed record breakers , great museum nearby & a few scenic viewsView attachment 105861View attachment 105862View attachment 105863View attachment 105864View attachment 105865View attachment 105866View attachment 105867View attachment 105868View attachment 105869
Great pics! The Lake District, truly beautiful and one of my favourite places anywhere in the world! Ridden around there many times. Can’t remember a single ocassion that it wasn’t raining though!

Often thought it might be Gods way of having a laugh - create the most spectacular landscape so as to attract the most visitors and then make it rain incessantly!!

My personal favourite - Ullswater.
