You can tease just so much, then folks are gonna move on.
Exactly !

Its a real shame we even have to be discussing this . All may be forgotten if the bike is really fixed .Exactly !
I’m with you 100%.
But I don’t see it happening. They didn’t even do this for the V4 and that was even after they did publish a long list of faults with the previous version. The least they should have done with that bike is confirm that all those problems have been fixed !
It’s a similar story with the 961 I guess, as there are a number of well known faults now, so explaining what they’ve done is a bleedin’ no brainer IMO.
They’ve given us fabulous details about the factory… and way too little about the products!
Personally, it’s getting quite frustrating. I was ‘hanging on’ hoping to be tempted by either a Superlight or naked V4 or 961. But I’m bored now…
I’m not some ‘arm chair warrior’ either, I’ve had one new Norton, had ordered another and am (or at least was) interested in more.
If they’ve managed to switch me off, I’m guessing I’m not the only one.
Stephen, before you start beating me up for being negative, I’m just being honest. Switching off customers like us (brand loyal, ready to spend) is a terrible indictment. They’re doing a terrible job with communications. They have GOT to get their act together if they want to sell premium motorcycles in this day and age…
TVS will do things in their own time,I guess that we are all a frustrated, to a greater or lesser degree FE. Who doesn’t want things to move on more quickly, spares to be made available for our bikes and sexy new models available for purchase?
TVS Norton have chosen the strategy of drip-feeding information whilst they develop their model line-up. No doubt to build up expectation and/or because they are still making key decisions about future models. Maybe they’ve calculated that this approach might frustrate the already heavily invested minority (us) whilst building expectation in the prospective majority (buyers not previously screwed over by Garner Norton)?
Time and patience will tell I suppose, as difficult as this is to stomach for many. Don’t think any of us ‘rusted on‘ Norton nuts are really walking away though are we? At the 11th hour? Before our chosen marque is fully re-launched following a near death experience?
Long live Norton - let’s hope their bikes are faster than their business model!
ExactlyTVS sell mainly to the Asian market, mainly India (which is the worlds biggest motorcycle market).
So we aren’t familiar with them in the West.
It’s also a very different market, as in India motorcycles are still mainly used as transport, whereas Norton is squarely aimed at the luxury grown up toys market.
At this point, I’ll never buy another “New Norton”.I guess that we are all a frustrated, to a greater or lesser degree FE. Who doesn’t want things to move on more quickly, spares to be made available for our bikes and sexy new models available for purchase?

TVS will do things in their own time,
Slow is good remember!
TVS (NORTON) 's future ďoes not hang on this forums members,
They are looking beyond us almost has beens,
I have faith in TVS and I'm in no rush,
Will content myself in the meantime by playing with my other toys in my toy box!
It’s not about the time for me, it’s about the communications.
You either do this like Bloor did which was to say NOTHING until launch day, then BOOM !
Or you do a better job of what you’re talking about.
It ain’t rocket science.
Look at the clip below by MV Agusta’s chief engineer, there’s a whole series by this guy, really good petrol head stuff that gives a strong feeling that the company is passionate about what they do. Plus it cost virtually nothing to produce…
And talk is cheap!
SG talked a lot
SG may of talked a lot. But to be honest he was showing progress and was making the bikes we all wanted. He also pulled us in and gave us hope and something to look forward to.And talk is cheap!
SG talked a lot
Trouble is he was only using Norton as a way to pull funds in, his fraudulent actions were deliberate and started before he even took Norton over, he stole the money to be able to buy it in the first place.but he at least spread the news world wide and knew how important advertisement was.
Saw a report today on 961 Facebook from India quoting deposits being taken with an ex showroom price of approx 24k. First units to be delivered whole and then later in knock-down form.Exactly
But do they advertise in India? Or are they, that popular in the east they don’t need to advertise or post info on social media?

As I stated, I don’t support his wrong doings and conman schemes, but he was making and showing us bikes we wanted.Trouble is he was only using Norton as a way to pull funds in, his fraudulent actions were deliberate and started before he even took Norton over, he stole the money to be able to buy it in the first place.
if you lived in a country they sell to you would see them. Asia, South America etcWhat kind of advertisement does TVS do for their other motorcycles and scooters?
I only ask because until they bought the Norton brand, I never heard of TVS.
SG Didn't produce any new models,As I stated, I don’t support his wrong doings and conman schemes, but he was making and showing us bikes we wanted.
He deserves life in prison
I’m not here to defend SGSG Didn't produce any new models,
He just brought out another re badged 961s
Special addition
Limited addition
Anniversary addition
CR addition
FS addition
Even a California addition
All off the back of Kenny Dreer's concept!
The V4 Was an Aprilia clone he built (poorly) just to go racing, and boost his ego
So after 12 years he built feck all but re hashed 961s
And a seriously flawed V4
The bikes we all wanted you say!!
There was a lot of suchers fell for SG's smoke screen,
Easy meat for SG!
Oh what short memory we have.
