TVS News 2023- Subsidiary Report is now out

That depends firstly on if you’re an investor or a rider IMO.

That wasn't a statement from an investment point of view. It was would you buy it in general based upon the available information. I think most would not but evidentially 2.7 in deposits?

I agree on the V4. and owners love forums. look at the average age of us here. or go over to Rennlist(Porsche forum) and again many of us above 55 etc. On specialty/low-quantity items, people want the information, and the forums are the place to get it, so again, I'm sticking with where are the new owners? Say they sold 100, then we should have one or two here right? Im not saying its an indication of sales but it is an indication of interest. I would bet all my motorcycles that Norton has people monitoring this and other forums to see how well the product is received by "actual" motorcycle owners, not people who follow influencers.

Your wealth/collectors might be a little different there than here. My clients and friends wouldn't touch any of the new stuff...yet. They would wait for the initial run to see which way the tide is going. These people don't like items that lose value, and with Norton already discounting motorcycles, it lowers the brand standard across the board. Would you buy a new 961 knowing that its been discounted and the used market is flooded with low mileage bikes for sale?
Hello everyone in my first post. I joined for several reasons, one of them to be able to say that I am indeed that one elusive new Commando owner.
That was actually quite satisfying right now, to finally gasp that to you lot here, and I hope that it made some of you smile.
Giving back at least a little to all the people of good faith here.
And I do think that there has to be at least one other owner of a new TVS machine on here as well. Raise your hands.

I am halfway through the break-in period, just now at the first service interval (around 500 miles). 1 of 40 Classic. Continental Europe, so no official support (yet, or ever?)
I will post a new thread after break-in, which should be in the next month or so. Patience please.
What I can say already is that it is the most exciting motorcycle that I have ever driven and one of the most desirable objects I have seen. I blame the relative information vacuum from YT, the factory, and us owners for the kinds of threads on residuals and other relatively abstract topics which have little to do with the bike itself.

Sorry if I will not reply immediately, but I will be around with details later.

I think the kind of people who would buy one are the same kind of people who already have.

Example: if I knew FOR CERTAIN that past failures had all been successfully addressed… I could, just possibly, be tempted.

But, of course, that doesn’t answer the question as to how many of such people there are…

Welcome to the forum. I suggest when you have a moment, start a thread of your own with your experiences and feedback as we would all like to hear from a newer owner. We will of course nitpick you for photos and information but again welcome to the club, we look forward to your input!

For me, it would have to be demonstrably different to even think about it than as said before, buying a used one and upgrading to your liking
