What’s the best none Norton Norton ?

Yes , They have all the current color schemes.
Sat on the Z900 for the first time yesterday at Team Moto Kawasaki - a demonstrator bike (killing time whilst the wife was looking at random girl stuff). Dealer told me they had sold lots. Did’nt have my gear on unfortunately. Felt great, very neutral riding position. Love the styling nod to its famous predecessor. Don’t know why I was surprised that it had a cable clutch. Have’nt read much about it but it looks like a do everything very well sort of machine. Gotta have one of those if you have a Norton in your garage :)

Nice bevel head Duck.
I like those marchesinis too.

Those are stock 18 inch FPS wheels (that didn't crack) but the early bikes came with magnesium Campagnolo and Speedline's stock.

Yup, that’s what I meant. Not looking to buy the Z9, already have a ‘do everything well’ sort of machine. Even if it has been described as the ugliest grasshopper in history! I can sorta see the resemblance! :)

When much younger , while discussing women with a buddy who had a habit of stepping out on his longtime GF , he said he couldn’t help it because variety is the spice to life , may apply to bikes as well as women,eh .....

What kind of modern bike would you all say would fit into this category?
Less than 360 pounds dry.
Minimum 80 hp
Single or twin cylinder.

Very few if any desirable bikes would hit those marks, IMO. These are close: Aprilia RS660 (372 lbs). Husqvarna 701 Smartpilen or Vitpilen (75 HP & 375 lbs), Ducati V4R (4 cylinder, 379 lbs & 234 HP)

Out of curiosity, where did you get the 80bhp and 360lbs from?

Its a tough combo for a modern road bike...
