The stories you hear are the same 3-5 bikes. These bikes are hand built by people learning not always by someone who has done this for years, plus we are all human and can make a mistake. I know the exact problem and it's a fluke. It has been corrected but really I'm pretty sure Norton would give you a written guarantee to at least look to see if this bike would be an issue. If they didn't I would be disappointed as a fan. I wouldn't want to miss out on a great bike because of some things I hear on the internet. Just call Norton, tell them whats up and ask for a written guarantee that they will stand behind their product. Then go out and grab that bike. By dad has a 2013 SE and it has over 7,000 trouble free miles.
