New to Norton looking at purchasing a 2013 Norton 961

I wanted to express my gratitude to everyone who took the time to comment on my post. Your insights were incredibly helpful. I'm thrilled to announce that I've made the decision and am now the proud owner of a 2014 Norton Commander 961 Sport. I'll share some pictures as soon as I have the opportunity to capture some good shots. Unfortunately, the weather here is currently quite unpleasant.

In Australia, our national broadcaster has a TV programme in which celebrities and politicians answer questions from an audience and viewers. In one episode, a question was asked about manual skills. Out of a panel of 6, not even one had manual skills. One guy even said ' I wish I could fix a gate'. There are two mindsets at play. Most people seem to prefer to discard things which might require service, repair or upgrading. However people who can think independently and are competent, might have a different approach to life. I would always buy a Norton in preference to a Honda. But I am pretty silly.

Silly is as silly does, I’ve got a Norty as well. And I like to think I know how it works. When I realise I don’t, I remeber that Stuart Bodycote, Motorvated Ltd is only a phone call away. 🇬🇧🏍👍

I completely agree! During my childhood, I lived in a household where my father lacked the time and patience to fix things. As a result, broken items were often cast aside and replaced with new, shiny products. Fortunately, as I grew older, my mindset shifted, and I discovered satisfaction in restoring, maintaining, and repairing things—particularly motorcycles. While I certainly do not consider myself an expert, I do make an effort! Norton over Honda any day.
