So are the pics in the thread the fabricator's tank AND a Norton tank. Two have the Norton decals on them.

"So are the pics in the thread the fabricator's tank"

Really? REALLY??

On the other bike forum of which I'm a member (ukbeg) I list one of my hobbies as "not suffering fools gladly"
Since having experienced one major and two minor heart attacks earlier in the year I have considerably hardened this position.
Therefore I'll refrain from commenting further, for fear of causing offence*

*1, apparently offence has recently been promoted to outrage amongst snowflakes!? who knew!
*2, did I say fear? my apologies, I meant amusement!

OK guys, the big reveal! Let me first say that I have had no prior dealings with this company. My choice was simply made by researching UK artisan tank manufacturing businesses, looking for the right mix of skills/competencies & also the capacity for a group buy, a depth of reputation and importantly value for money (quality vs cost). I eventually settled on Tab Classics and I have been more than pleased with my subsequent conversations with the owners Richard and Mark.

This is their website please peruse at your leisure.

You might be particularly interested in their hinkley triumph EFI tank as a representative piece of their work.

Please, please respect the fact that these guys earn a living by making tanks and not by answering countless inane questions from the unwashed hordes!
STRICTLY; for the time being please feed all communications through me, on this thread.

The next stage is to loan them a tank which I have in hand from a member. Once this is in their hands I will be able to firm up on prices with them on the basis that this will be within the prices I have already communicated.

A bike will be required at some point for finalising clearances (battery terminals, testicles etc). I am happy to do this with my bike but if anyone local to them wants to volunteer then by all means be my guest.

Questions and comments, good or bad, gladly received.

I'm familiar with the company and their products.
Most notably with their Norton Sprint alloy tanks.
I know a gent who had one on a 750 Cafe bike, and the tank was beautiful and very well made.
Seen several on other old Commandos as well.

I don't know if it makes any difference to the manufacture but mine will almost certainly get painted  - don't shoot me.

AWESOME!
I’m happy for you all. Looks like you guys found the Holy fabricator.
I’m curious if they would build a Manx tank for a Dominator.

I have one of his tanks, a sprint without indents, on a hinkley thruxton. It was one of his earlier ones, he took over the buisness from his dad. Its good, not perfect but quality to cost ratio was very good I paid about GBP450 for it a number of years ago. I'm still in.
