Thanks Tony,Heat transfer paste ?
That must be it
Thanks Tony,Heat transfer paste ?
It’s a bit of a lottery unless you’re super cautious where you buy - luckilly I’ve only been bitten once with a TPS (no markings at all and clearly a Chinese knock-off).I've replaced 4 Sensors ( Speed,Temperature,Cam And TPS) so far. The only one with markings on it was the TPS which was a CTS Unit. Does that mean the ones without markings were knockoffs of the real thing ?
I just did a quick shake down run and everything appears to be running OK at this timeHi , Its hard to say . My bike did not have Bosch sensors from the factory. Is your bike running ok now ?
I obtained Genuine Bosch and Marelli for replacement. I meant 3 sensors on the bike from when I bought it new had no manufacturer markings. I'm wondering if these are knock offs? I'll get pix of them laterIt’s a bit of a lottery unless you’re super cautious where you buy - luckilly I’ve only been bitten once with a TPS (no markings at all and clearly a Chinese knock-off).
Head temp and Cam (phase) sensor are shown here (along with IAM) - all are marked with OEM detail, as was the packaging. Not what you want to hear mate, but I would be suspicious of any sensor/relay that didn’t have OEM markings. Happy to be proven wrong though if anyone knows better - Tony is certainly more tech savvy than I.
Yes , I am using Honeywell .Also realized last night that I have an air temp sensor on the Domi which will need to be replaced.
I didn't see anything on the Alternate parts list, are we still using the Honeywell ES110-0016 ?
Not how I read your post…doh ! Good news if she’s running better! The knock offs will certainly do as spares.I obtained Genuine Bosch and Marelli for replacement. Update for this Honeywell part # is ES110-0001 if anyone else is looking for one. The first # is no longer availableAlso realized last night that I have an air temp sensor on the Domi which will need to be replaced.

I may have posted those #'s a bit prematurely as I can't find anyone who has either in stock. Most say back ordered and others discontinued. It depends what supplier you check with. The prices have almost tripled for these. I can still get the ES110-0001 and ES110-0016 . My supplier shows that the ES110-0001 is discontinued but still have stock. Both of these have the correct thread for the airbox fitting. If you don't need the M10 thread then there are more to choose from like I did (no airbox) . The price each is cheaper too if you don't need M10 thread . Here is the spec sheet :
It may work OK , I have never tried a shrouded tip. Have you tried on line components ?I may have posted those #'s a bit prematurely as I can't find anyone who has either in stock. Most say back ordered and others discontinued.
What do you think of ES110-0004 ? It has a shrouded thermistor tip vs exposed thermistor tip. These seem readily available and the shrouded tip would be better in an oily mist enviroment
No I havent, thanks for the lead and I see they have plenty. I've earned more about these Air Sensors in the last 24hrs than one needs to and now I'm interested in finding an alternate with the same specs as our bikes use. I'll let you know how it goesIt may work OK , I have never tried a shrouded tip. Have you tried on line components ?
The TPS is a bit problematic, mainly because there are so many Chinese copies being advertised as genuine - buyer has no idea until it arrives on the doormat. Same with most of the sensors/relays I guess. Worth recording decent suppliers on this thread.KITPF2C is the same code that I got on EBay earlier this year and it works fine. Mine doesn't have the writing in white. Its a Renault Part #
