961 MANUALS

Hi Richard,
I have a 2015 Commando Sport. Great ride but it has been off the road more than on. Took almost 2 years and many map changes to get the bike to idle properly and run smoother at 3000 revs. Had the starter motor blow up, leaky gear case, leaky head and replacement of the fuel rail which is apparently faulty on many bikes. Mine came apart when I was on a ride emptying the tank all over me and the engine/pipes. I was lucky it was at the start of a ride otherwise I would be charcoal now. Anyway the bike is out of warranty now and I would like to start doing some of the work needed to maintain the bike. I would love to access the manuals that you have created, in particular the oil change as I am about to attempt this. My email is radline@internode.com.au .

Hi Richard my Oring at the injectors failed and CNWs manual section doesn't work
I have the manuals up to transmission vent, I got replacement levers at F1racing in Texas, i think I need air box removal and fuel injection manuals, I have all of your tools for the 961 . Thanks johnjjcnov@ alol.com

Hi Richard, new owner signing in, I picked up my 2015 Commando Sport today, it's only done 1038 miles and I haven't ridden it yet, but I'm sure I will need your manuals sooner or later! If you could send them to @gmail.com that would be great.

Oh yes! But from the comming January will be registered under SK plate numbers. Since the repair by Egli no more oil cunsumption, much better performance an behaviour! It's a pitty that the warranty case was not accepted by Norton Motorcykles.

Hi Richard can you send me a copy of the manuals? I have a newly acquired race 961SF at the recent Barber Vintage AHRMA races she had a few problems one being excess oil in the airbox which after being black flagged I cleaned out and was good, then later doing battle against the Thruxtons she quit completely on me in mid corner , no electric … I was so enjoying the race up to that point!

Good Job , I am very pleased you bought 961X and are racing her again ! I was sad to see her for sale at Barber and not being raced . All the best , and you will find much enthusiastic support on this forum.

Oil in the airbox, and intermittent electric are just a couple of the very special features of Norton ownership.
Give 'em hell out there.
Did you acquire the 961 from someone that we might know - a forum member?
