Oh my yes dear sir and I've been working constantly to recover
extreme set backs this decade that prevented me from living
on my Commando as long as not too much black ice at night
or flooded crossings.

We only got so many days and weekends left, I want to spend
as much of it as I can on a turbo powered flying carpet ride
with minimal traffic and less police.

Love the dramatic back grounds of many the Commando poses.

NYC to Purdys via Bronx River Parkway also known as route 22..Its has fast and slow sections and the road surface is usually top notch. The slow sections are my favorite thesedays.Theres a bar in Purdys called the Blazer that has great burgers but when the weather is cold one must try their chilli.Once fed I switch to the Sawmill River Road for the ride home. Its a 100mi round trip and makes me smile.

I live in Westchester and I agree, Rt.22 north is a really nice ride, beautiful area, great to ride around those reservoirs up there. And the old section of the Bronx River Parkway is another favorite of mine for early morning rides when there is no traffic.

my every day ride used to be the west coast of new zealand. fox river to greymouth !!! rain hail sleet or snow !!!! 365 days of the year !

I'm missing out on Mt flowers and snow fields camouflaging a white
Commando or living on Commando river valley to river valley
in exotic NZ. sigh.

With a big windshield with lowers I rode most of one winter
even in half freezing rain/sleet, but dry in still air as long
as kept moving forward. People in cars were shaking head
at my endurance but I was not suffering, unless more than
hour then hands and feet go numb. Delayed that by
hot packs in boots and gloves. Just couldn't stay off
my Combat delights of free flying fun.

Blaisestation, we just did 2 weeks in NZ south island and I know where you are talking about. Fantastic country, excellent roads, the best coffee, food and friendly people.
Fox River to Greymouth is a demanding road especially in winter.
Toss a coin on a map of NZ south island and where it lands is a good bike road.
