Thanks to everyone for your answers.

I'm looking at options right now but the likely path is to get one made in NZ.

The concern with second hand ones is needing to have them crack tested before paying to freight to NZ. That might be a challenge to get done.

The NZ guy has made several hundred cranks already for NZ and Australia. He has been doing it part time for about 15 years now. A close friend has installed 7 into engines he has built. He was having problems obtaining steel. He uses P20 Uddeholm Impax supreme - a Swedish steel but I have found some in Auckland. 180 mm diameter rather than the preferred 165 mm unfortunately. About NZ$620 plus tax etc for the steel

Delivery time is about 3 months.

Hi. Yes I know about this one and have a one piece Nourish crank in my 500 race bike.

But this crank was made by the guy who bought Dave Nourish’s company. And that guy does not have a great name. Evidently the crank measures up perfect but I’m not comfortable with him so I passed.

Possibly a mistake but from a distance I decided to say no.

Did Chris Bushell finally deliver a crank? I am amazed. How did you find out?
I thought the crankshaft was a survivor from the old Nourish workshop.

I should make it clear I have no reason at all to believe this is not a good crank but I have friends who dealt with Bushell and just don’t want to go there for purely personal relationship reasons

Sealy Cycle Service told me the crankshaft has been sold. I hope the buyer does his homework before fitting!
