What’s the best none Norton Norton ?

Neat styling, and color indeed.
Wish I was 20 years younger to deal with sportbike ergos.
Nice bike indeed BT but I’d be willing to bet the ergos would be quite a bit better for us middle-aged gentlemen (a stretch I know) than my 961 Cafe Racer. Wouldn’t even consider a swap though - only the 961 makes all women (and Triumph owners) weak at the knees;)!

Love the Ducati but the styling is suspect at best for me - it is literally the opposite of a sharp looking motorcycle. Would love to ride it though. The Harley? Well, it’s a Harley ! I’ll take the Super Rocket please; love one of those in my garage!

Tony,
I guess the Harley is better suited to a gezzer than the Thaiumph triple, but my god, with that motor, radiator, and all the plastic covers, it sure looks like 10lbs of s**t, in a 5lb bag.
How much does the Nightster weight?
WEIGHT, IN RUNNING ORDER
481 lb.

Not sure exact decade but those Bath-Tub bikes were the worst ever , good bikes but terrible to look at ….

That was a bad period, right around 1960. No doubt started with the 1955 enclosed Series D Vincent, which covered up the best looking part of the Vincent.
Norton tried one, Triumph tried one, not aware of a man sized BSA or RE in the PeeWee Herman style.
They were offered alongside the traditional models with Norton and Triumph, but none of them sold well so they were soon dropped.
With Vincent, they placed all bets on the enclosed D and it was the end of the company.
I guess a modern Sportbike does look a bit like a D Vincent.
No moderately desirable modern bike looks like the Norton below however. That's a good thing!

A collection of nicely engineered components all bolted together. Does it all hang together as an attractive motorbike.....? Not so sure.

I want one (a new SS100 that is) but I don’t know why! Maybe because nobody else has one? Truth be known though I find it fairly fugly!

Much like the Brough Superior - Aston Martin AMB 001 below. 180 hp - 180 Kg - should be fun though. Only 100 to be made. They need to sack whoever designed the nose though!

Definitely unique, I think owners are attracted by that, and the exclusivity of price and name recognition.
I do like the articulated triangular link front suspension, kinda like the Britten's
I wish more mainstream M/C companies would offer similar type suspensions.

I question the marketing using Lawrence's name in association, he killed himself on a Brough Superior model.
Kinda like using John Belushi to recommend using a speedball cocktail.:p
