Turn signal help

Do you mean the turn signal repair, or the selling your bike/thinning the herd journey?
Bought a new wiring harness and EMGO turn signals (front and rear sets) for my 73 Commando. I believe the original owner probably removed them before I bought the bike way back in 1980. I'm very good with mechanical issues but electrics and wiring are my biggest challenges to work with. Not planning on selling my bike once I get this all worked out.

Just try to attack it one step at a time and you'll get through it. Your EMGO turn signals should work as well as the originals. My bike is also a '73, but luckily, the wiring harness wasn't all hacked up. You will get help here on the forum.

Any one got the answer to this Q?

White and yellow wire for the kill switch function from the handle bar cluster, which wire does it connect to in the main wiring loom after using the white wire from the ignition switch to run a Pazon Surefire?

If you use white to power the Pazon then white/yellow is redundant as it would normally be the feed from the kill switch to the ignition so you have bypassed the kill switch therefore it would be normal practice to connect white/yellow (not white) to Pazon white if you want to keep the kill switch.

The new 'Genuine Lucas' flasher units work much better than the bimetallic originals and fit into the original holder, so a straight swap

"Much better" as in, not load specific? (Tolerate different wattage lamps, or LED)

TIA

I haven't seen the spec or stripped one down, so I can't be sure, but I believe they're solid state electronic. I've only used one on a bike with original 21W bulbs and it was unaffected by other loads.
I think LEDs would need a dedicated unit?

I was guessing (hoping) it was like this one, which, I was installing in vehicles 30 years ago. It did away with load sensitive types that didn't like adding a trailer.

There are still both standard electro-mechanical and LED compatible flasher relays available branded Lucas. The LED version is also compatible with incandescent lamps (or a mix of the 2).
