It's not a bike, and I'm not quite "riding" it yet, but now that I've got some play money from selling my '66 Bonneville, it shouldn't be much longer till my concrete work is done and I can get the bird out of the hangar, to my freshly graded runways!

1986 Quicksilver MX Sprint II, set up as a single-seat so no license required.

Sounds like you may be letting it go for too little to me - hope you can hold out for more $ - even if it is for something as unimportant as heat in the winter ...

Couldn't resist this one (again). 1992 Yamaha XT600E with 4,160 original (but hard use) miles for $1250. I had one of these a few decades ago and really liked it, but had more bikes than space, so sold it. It's the electric start model that didn't sell that well in the US, but was quite popular in the rest of the world. I raced an SRX-6 for several years, and in the end had fitted one of these engines to get the extra durability and electric start, and I still have a huge amount of SRX and XT engine spares, including a lot of race stuff. That turned out to be fortunate, because what I thought was a minor carb problem turned out to be some stripped gears in the transmission. I was able to replace them from my spares hoard. The piston had also seized at some time in it's life, so I had to bore it for an oversize piston. Seems to run great now, though. But it does need new tires. It still has the original tires with 1991 date codes. After 30 years of drying out, they are really hard. New ones are on their way.

When does the ‘shop extension’ thread start Ken ;) ?
Funny story there. Back in 1988 when I built the shop, I wanted a 2,000 sq. ft. shop, but because of the local regulations, I settled on 1,000 sq. ft., which required a much simpler approval process. I had put aside what I thought was enough money for the larger building, but decided to build the smaller one instead, thinking I could always add on later. Turned out that by the time I finished the smaller shop, I had used all the money, and then a little more, so it was really serendipity at work that I didn't start on the larger one.

You could sell it and buy a decent Commando, and still have money in your pocket...

This is the monster that broke my leg in November...

Once I get back to "normal" with this leg, that sissy bar has to go.

This was the parts bike that came with it, '02 same model. It used to have the trike kit on it; the former owner bought a newer one with lots less miles and moved the trike kit over to it. Now you know why the trike is part red and part orange...

Before the Super Duke R, that Duc was the wheelie-poppingest, slideways sliding-est hooligan license loser on the market. I test rode one at Heartland Park AMA Roadrace National when they were new. Too much fun!

They are a good bike (I think the S model was around $23000 RRP+ $3500 for the exhaust and ECU here when new so out of my range then)
As you would know that picture makes it look long (and big) when they are almost 250cc sized with the 1078cc two valve engine stuffed in.
The 10 litres to reserve is a bit goofy.

Another fantastic job Dave.
