It's completely original, as it would have come, new, in 1948.
Snap! Here’s my ‘48

Hard to keep the sumps dry on the old bikes with this pair sitting ready to go.

But I did manage to do a couple of thousand miles this year on the real Vincents, and it was absolutely glorious!
Pumped those sumps dry just when needed.
First World problems!

You have my sympathy - must be very trying having to put up that sort of machinery

This is z1000elderado’s RC30...

I wanted one of these when they were new, but they were outa my league (nothings changed there it seems) so I had to ‘make do’ with a GSXR750 Slingshot instead.

I’ve never met z1000elderado, but thes epics make me hate him already...;)

Picked up this little gem yesterday. 1983 DT 100 with 430 original miles. I've been looking for a pit bike to toodle around on at places like Barber and Road America and something to teach the grandkids how to ride on.

Not perfect, but generally unmolested.

Very nice score! Brand new.

The other side has some issues. one of the PO's did some sort of tank liner and dripped it on the tank leaving a gouge in the paint. And the sidecover, (only one, on the left) needs paint. The rear fender has a couple of dents I'll have to pound out and repaint, but that's easy. Right now, Job 1 will be to clean the semi-clogged carb so it runs clean.

I finished this 18 month labour of love yesterday, and took her(?) out for a blat today. All the work, scouring and scrounging for parts, busted knuckles, aching back and tourette's moments were worth it. It's a 1982 Moto Morini 500 Camel MkII. Bits for it came from all over the world, Canada (thanks Craig), the U.K., the Netherlands, Germany, Italy and of course & inevitably China.

I'm chuffed..

And you think the Commando sidestand is long ?

Cheers,

cliffa.

This is the best i have managed during the lock down.
LED head and tail light, adjustable rebound and preload on the front.
Power to weight ratio pretty pathetic, but has improved in the last 3 weeks - power slightly up, weight coming down.
Does make odd grunting noises into a head wind.
