My other 750 twin. Also, according to my insurance company, a "Classic"
Genuine 150mph performance with handling and braking to match and stunning to look at all for less than £4,000.
It even sounds nice so it had to make sense.

A couple new bikes in the stable. I bought this 2007 Kawasaki 250 Ninja a few weeks back. I've always had a soft spot for these bikes, and this is my fourth one. Unfortunately, it's not really that comfortable for an old guy like me any more, so I think it will go up for sale.

Besides, I just picked up another bike that I'd rather keep, so the Ninja needs to go just to make room. It's a 2009 Triumph Street Triple R with only 11,000 miles, and in really great condition. Just bought it from a friend of mine who was selling it to help pay for a new bike. It's a really fun bike to ride in the canyons.

Had one of the first gen street triples, one of the best bikes I have owned and the one that I most regret selling - enjoy it.

The currently active members of the stable - 2007 Honda ST 1300 - had since new . 1990 Honda GB 500 - had for a little more than a year now . 1950 Norton ES 2 - bought sight unseen from England in 2003 - subject of four year restoration .

All are awaiting the completion of the 1972 Commando Combat Roadster - likely another year or so - and the 1956 Dommie 99 - bits of which can be seen litteraly hanging around . Hope I live long enough and have enough $$ to finish the Dominator .

Thanks, John. I've only put about 100 miles on it so far, but I'm loving it. Only flaw so far is the seat, which gets uncomfortable pretty quickly, but it looks like there are several aftermarket choices available to fix that. It is superb in the twisties.

Hi Bill - The ST 1300 is amazing . smooth, fast , powerful - 120 horses or thereabout - QUIET - and as nimble as a sport bike once rolling . V4 - shaft drive - It is a bit of a brute to move around manually but an absolute joy once it is moving . Honda has discontinued them - they can be found new here and there still but I believe the last ones were built in 2012 . Don't be tempted by a new one for the huge amount of money they ask .
Very good used ones can be had for 5k and less . Visit the ST Owners site - many members claim upwards of 200,000 trouble free miles .
 
I figured it was on the heavy side but nothing like full dress HD. the norton is on the small side and crampt for a two up bike.
i have a good story from 2 sundays ago. i left konnarock Va after breakfast and headed to east to damascus Va on 58,(look it up) i caught up to 2 BMW 6 cyl's and gave them a hard run, at one point the tail rider motioned for me to pass but i did not want to embarrass them to bad with a 65 year old on a 47 year old norton on bicycle tires out running there new fangled high dollar bikes.

Nice motorcycle lift Richard. The GB on it also looks great. Honda just got that one so right.

Here is my 78 SR 500. I added a second front disk and shaved the carb cutaway and jetted it to the supertrapp. Second pic is in a heavy rainstorm after 30 miles of dirt roads in Vermont last month. Big singles are grand. My other daily rider is a 71 BMW R75/5. I have a 79 Moto Guzzi V1000 G5 project waiting in the wings. Either a modified Lemans clone or a beach bobber sidecar rig for hauling the dog to the hardware store.

I have two of these over there.
Bought this one, rode it 25 kms home and pulled it to bits.
Wheeled it out of the garage, loaded a map via long serial cable out the window from a PC, rode it around the block.......... then geared up and did a 350 km loop with no problems, it never missed a beat in the next 54000 kms rain or shine until going into storage.

Those were great bikes other than he silly rotary rear shock. Doesn't someone make a monoshock conversion?
 
Beach that is a nice looking bike ! .... sorry for my ignorance but on phone screen I can’t tell if it Harley or Indian , if Harley is it a 45 c.i. ..... thanks , also was it restored or is it a original barn find ....

Is a Harley 1948 74ci Panhead. I went through everything to restore to original. I did lots of parkerizing on parts as original. Had a lot of friends from 70s that built choppers but kept all original hardware and gave me coffee cans full of nuts, bolts and washers. I cleaned and parkerized nuts and bolts making every one original. Paint is not original, but a color of a Lincoln we owned.
