That's a beauty. On my wanted listHow could I forget the 1973 (March) Eldorado.
Once I make new cables for the just installed Dellorto 32 mm PHF's and connector plugs arrive for the VW ignition module / hall effect sensor modified distributor it will be back into service.
Archive pic with the bike still up on the operating table.

We bought that one for our son in grad school. He could park any where on campus for $100 a year vs over $100 per month if you could even find a place. Wife and I cleaned it good and replaced wear items. He used it for over 4 years, getting compliments every where he rode it. He ended up buying a newer bike after school and was surprised people weren't as interested. Getting ready to put this in his garage since there's limited room in mine.Back to that 350 Honda for a moment. I've often said it should be a required study for
any engineering student. They made a great small cheap bike miles ahead of anything else
and it was sold just as an ordinary bike. In many ways more important than a 750 four.
I once rode one that had been sitting for two years rotting away and with only an oil change
air in the tyres and GREASE on the chain I issued forth. 800+ miles, flogged relentless and it
never missed a beat. Ran it locally for several years after that. Rear shocks, swinging arm bushes
were not up to snuff even new but otherwise, what a great bike.
Have chance to buy this one and has already had the cylinders done. About all it needs is a wiring harness. Just have to pry it loose from owners hands.Make sure to get one with aftermarket Gilardoni Nikasil cylinders if you do (chrome bore cylinders stock which can peel with no oil filter to stop it = $$$$$)
I added 88 mm Nikasil cylinders (948 cc - balanced in the garage with 177 grams of Mallory metal) then machined the engine case to suit those along with modifying it to take the later oil filter pan/sump and front main bearing to suit. (The galleries were cast in but undrilled)
1972 to 1974 build as a 850cc, 4 LS drum front brake added from late 1973 and a single disc in 1974 then production stopped even though they were selling well in the USA.
Every mechanical part is new (including modifying new parts) right down to NOS wheel bearings sourced in Germany.
I have had a few offers to sell it which I would for $1 more than anyone would pay.
