Norton logo on timing case.

Dealer in Millis, MA had 3 MK IIIs in crates. He let me trace the red/white/blue paint scheme after paint shop screwed mine up. Those bikes, still in the crates, did not have any paint in the logos.

I often wondered what happened to those bikes. He was sort of eccentric, said he wanted them buried with him.
crate bike - 74 - from the looks of it, i'm guessing a Mk2

What a shame to the photographer!!!!A Norton picture must always been taken from ''The money side''!
Most if not all Pre 75, Mk 3's where photo'd from the left, money side. Mk 3's from the right side.
Gee, I wonder why?

You are perfectly right. But there are few exceptions like the Commando 'S' with their 2 shielded high pipes on the drive side. The 'money side' is usually the most eye appealing/ bling-bling side.:cool:
