Jerry,Hello all, i know this is a pain. Please can you try and research where the link should go to and post the broken link and the new link. Use the search function. I am doing that and it takes a while, so any help appreciated...

Jerry,
Another broken link is found here.
https://www.accessnorton.com/NortonCommando/lockheed-caliper-piston-removal.7079/#post-87821
It should go to here.
https://www.accessnorton.com/NortonCommando/brake-caliper-teardown-yes-with-pictures.5131/
I apologize for not being more helpful with past posts.
Charlie
Old thread titles on accessnorton.com share a title commonality with the newly assigned/converted URL. By using Google, and maybe Bing, as well, you can enter the old title of the thread into Google, and it will likely provide the URL of the new page in the returned search results.
In the quoted text from chaztuna above, the first link works, but leads to a post containing the second link, which is broken. To find the new, working URL for the second post, or any other broken post, enter this in to Google:
site:accessnorton.com brake-caliper-teardown-yes-with-picture
The "site:accessnorton.com" portion of the text above limits the results returned from Google to only links on the accessnorton.com website. The second part of the search, "brake-caliper-teardown-yes-with-picture," is the title of the thread provided by chaztuna, and being used for this example. In most cases, if not all, the old thread title will also be the title of the new thread, too.
Depending on the title of the thread being searched for, specifying site:accessnorton.com, to return only results from accessnorton.com, may or may not be necessary..
When I first joined this forum, I was not adept at using the search function. Now I am. How do you think I found the correct links that I posted. I am doing this because Jerry asked us to notify him of dead links. That way, when he has the time, he can fix them.
Charlie
PS Death before Bing!
Your post above did contain two working URL's, which were to two entirely different threads. I was confused by this, thinking that one of the links you posted had already been corrected. The example I posted was a dead link that I found contained in one of the correct threads you posted.
I was merely trying to show everyone that Google could be used to easily locate the posts referenced by dead links.
And if you can get the search function on a forum to work adequately, you're a better man than me!.
Thanks everyone. I will get to this. Super busy with life at the moment. Need more time to get things done
Jerry,
You get to it, when you get to it. Thank you for hosting this site. I've become such a PITA, that I will have to become a VIP member, simply to ease my guilt! After this post, I'm sure Jerry is wondering why he ever let me join!
I've found another one. Dead link is below
https://www.accessnorton.com/NortonCommando/another-kegler-s-arm-mod-thread.11598/#post-160668
It goes here
https://www.accessnorton.com/NortonCommando/not-another-spindle-thread.5592/
Maybe we should start a pool? First one to guess the date that I run out of dead links, or Jerry bans me, wins!
Charlie
Chaztuna,
Both of the links in the above quoted post are functioning. In the thread the first link references, the dead link that your second link now correctly references is present.
This error is similar to your earlier post(s) in this thread, which I quoted in my attempt to explain how search engines could be used to easily find the renamed threads.
