Fullauto's 850 rebuild

I believe the Titaium dioxide and cryo helped my Peel in power and to surrvive the over rev event that made me buy a rev limter ignition for next edition. I kept hanging up long suffering Ken Canaga on more treatments for Peel scine 2008 that are now included in many elite builds but missed out on the micro polish. Our own spoilage date is uncertain but certainly limited and feel sorry too many did not live to see a dream machine come true so I get off to see others so close after so long. I do not feel sorry for your short lived tires through.
My motto

I don't know about the oil can but I'm wondering how you going to make that head fit

a few questions:
I like the idea of coating engine internals but don't have any experience.

. Please tell us more about the NASA coating on the camshaft. (benefits, costs, etc...)

. That ceramic coating is trick but expensive. Did you choose the top of the line? Are there any other options available?

. Micro polishing is also nice, who did it? costs?

. Is it common for Australian bikers to have a can of ass lube in their shop?

Times are tough. Who'd be an apprentice in this day and (new) age? Just ask Donald Trump! :D

1. Apparently the more heat and pressure applied, the shinier the finish becomes. Don't know the technical details just the effects.

2. Didn't get a choice. These guys have been doing it a long time.

3. Don't know. Came with the package. All up cost for everything was about AU$1100 including GST of 10%. CIC Coatings in Welshpool here in Perth, Western Australia.

4. Yes. It's to make dealing with customers easier.

I used these guys but did find after over rev event that did not really blow up internals but took out anything on boths ends of crank but still ran another 2000 miles with less power is all, that pistons and cam layers had worn off so might have to replace these thin friction coatings time to time. I carried some parts to the place to watch it done in a sand blast box using compressed air to impregnate surfaces. Rod Shells and crank journals and head valve guides and the crank bearings all coating in Peel, after cyro temper which might squeeze off the friction layer. Shipping costs like cryo are the most expensive part of processing metal hunks.

Looks nice, and gives me incentive to get on with my own build!!!

What did you coat the barrel with? It looks shiny?
I was contemplating blackening up my new Maney barrel as I like the look.
I even wondered if I could anodise it.

Based on Jim Comstock's research proving there is zero advantage, and it would be purely for cosmetic reasons, I decided not to bother in the end.

Whats the point of micro polishing the trans gears and parts? Relieving micro stress risers? Smoother shifting?
