But the title of the post is "commando choppers please" it's in the correct section alreadygrandpaul said:It could always be moved to "other Nortons" section, as they are no longer Commandos...
Mark said:Funny..... I know a LOT of guys who ride their bodged, dangerous, customized, stereotypical "Harldy-Albesons" .
However, the majority of vintage british bike owners that I know rarely (if ever) ride their bikes.
Polishing, bench racing, restoring, reminiscing about "back in the day", posting on the web, spending money on farkles, ETC..... everything but riding them.
I propose that if anyone must banned from the site....
let's make it the closed minded anal retentives who think that their way is the only way to enjoy a motorcycle.

Now a bunch of old guys have lovingly restored them back to stock. And soon, they will go up for sale, and a new generation of riders will chop, modify, and bob them into a modern version of a chopper, kind of like this one: https://www.autoevolution.com/news/exqu ... 57357.html

Exquisite bobber!!! Is whoever wrote that serious???? What a wanker. Another Norton sitting in the living room, unridden, as he cleans the semen off it weekly and polishes it lovingly.

Nice to see another white chop, the first version of my Norton was white pearl, pretty cool (well at least in-76). But I don´t see an oil tank on this machine? How does that work?

These things don't make any sense to me at all.
How do they go around a corner or bend?
Obviously it's done for a reason but I have no clue what the reason is??

The debate isn't about whether or not we like them (I don't either).
The debate is about:
Are those who do like them right to use this forum to share their posts with each other...
Or are such topics to be 'banned' because others don't like them...?
