Air cleaner is directly in front of the oil tank. The oil tank is the back panel of the air cleaner. There's a chrome panel on the front of the 'ham can' that holds the whole thing together with 2 long 1/4-20 bolts into tabs on the side of the oil tank. The hole in the air filter side of the oil tank has a tube through the oil tank that goes back and up and into that top hat gizmo, it's sort of a oil/vapor separator and breather. Mine always leaked oil which then went down on top of the gearbox and was a mess, so I put it into a catch can from a tube through the air cleaner. Not easy but do-able.

If you're going concourse, check the front bridge. It's not uncommon to replace the front mudguard to put a larger front tire on. If your bridge is like this it's the original. Starting in 71 it got about an inch longer. The 71 stays are altogether different too.

Dog T,

Thanks for the information. Looks like I have a later fender as the brackets measure 5". Have a line on a ham can filter and plate. It isn't chrome.
