It is all smoke and mirrors...... politicians do something that is irrelevant and tout they are making change .... those who think with their hearts and not their heads, eat it up and support those politicians.
The irony is that those who think with their hearts are those who think their support is sufficient to make them "good" persons .... they seldom open their wallets and make a financial support to back up their belief systems.

It all boils down to money, business is about making money, politicians are about money and pretend to be doing something but not really, then you get normal people who do care but can't get nowhere as the pollies are in big business pocket or are bussiness people themselves to make money no matter what, then you get these so call save the earth mobs that glue themselves to roads or do some other stupid things that all they are doing is getting normal people who are trying to get to work because they are trying to survive, all they are doing is getting people off side of their antics, it's not hurting the rich or the pollies and they are losing support from the people who just want to live, and then if you give money to these save the world mobs, where does your money really go to 90% goes to admin cost and maybe 10% else where we don't know.
We recycle everything and even have a recycle bin but most of the time it just gets dumped in land fill as a few 3rd world countries are no longer taking our recycled stuff, plastics is one of the biggest polluters, just walk along any beach to see that, was the wonder material of the world but in the long term has come and bite us on our arse, we love our cars/bikes our Aircon and everything but it all comes at a price and to fix things will cost big money and who pays for it all for all our mistakes, just living these days is hard enough, but I try to do my bit.
Then you get the young ones who are protesting around the country but none of them have ever earned any money, have never experienced the real world of living protected by their family and when they do finally start working what will they spend their hard earn money, bet it's not on save the planet, spend their money of high tec throw away gadgets.
Cost of living and wars seem to be the main thing these days, clean up the world just not going to happen, should be on the top of things not the bottom.
