The Löwe iacv is poor quality, and sticks. Many people bung the hoses up and adjust the throttle stop screws to give an idle. I replace those iacv's with a vdo part, which seems much better. But half the problem is the cross drilling to support the iacv...as covered quite a bit on this forum. The SE's just seem to be able to idle much lower and smoother than the homologated bikes. I will check oil pressure at idle though, out of curiosity.
Stu,
Is the VDO unit a straight swap on bikes with SCS ECUs?
VDO part number?

The MCT throttle bodies are the Jenvey ones that have no IAC lugs cast into them, and the early green style injectors. Same as the ones me and a few others bought off ebay.
I've got a set a those somewhere in the shop!

There are two options. We use the Magneti Marelli 8001063373638 which seems to work just fine. With the Lowe version out of 5 we might get one that works. Havent been able to source the VDO so defer to Stu

That's has given me impetus to get my ebay throttle body sorted out! I'm just coming to the end of another restoration, so good timing!
For a domi - I think trying to find an AT Power one could be a good move as you may not need the hacksaw? Although the hacksaw may not matter if you ditch the airbox for trumpets.......

Hi Vernon , If you remove the airbox you won't need to cut the throttle bodies.

Hi Tony, I'm going to give it some thought I think..I looked up an old thread and see I was aware..but forgot...about the length issues.....I'm kinda torn...quite like the airbox, BUT quite like the trumpets. I know, first world issues! I may have to take a closer look at Mr Bodycotes creation. He's a bad influence on us I tall ya, a bad influence!

I wouldn't run open trumpets on a street bike . Also remember there will be no permanent changes to your bike . Also last question , do you discharge oil to the airbox ? You will have to deal with that.

A nice custom made aluminum intake runner would look better than the silicon hose runners I used .
