The 7610 shocks are steel body shocks, they make alloy body shocks but a different model number and they have wind up spring adjusters, I don't know I have always had the steel bodied Koni/Ikons as really the extra light shocks would it make any different to how they work or handling on the bike.
When I had my old 2013 Thruxton I wanted to put a set of Ikons on but my bike dealer con me in putting a set of alloy Gazi shocks on and I went with a set they had 29 damper settings and wind up springs, took me about 2 months trying to set them to the right setting for my bike and less than 12 months one blew the main seal, not happy at all, but lucky a mate wasn't happy with his near new Ikons, had a chip off the paint on one spring and he gave them to me and I put them on the Thruxton, they were the same size and looks as my old Koni shocks on my Norton, after getting the Gazi's rebuilt at my cost as Gazi tried to blame me for the seal blowing but they just didn't want to back their faults, I sold the old Thruxton with the Gazi shocks and now have a spare set of Ikons for my Norton they are so much simpler to set up and adjust.
I stick with what has worked for me for so long, 42 years with my steel body Koni's will probably out last me and hopefully the steel body Ikons will be as good.
