It's his bike, let him do what he wants, don't like the exhaust wrap though.

No problem with the owner doing what he wants. Now that he is trying to sell, it leaves the subject open to ridicule. That's the nature of being a PO. I can't see the value of the engine/gearbox at $6500 and the rest of the machine is worth $0.
 
It's no surprise that this bike is in Venice, CA. It's actually well configured for the dynamic of that area. A clean, original looking Commando would be more out of place there. The $6500 asking price may not be out of line for that particular bike in Venice.

In the second part I was meaning the cost of a weekly oil change, Imean who would, especially if you weren't doing many miles.

Gosh Dennis that is a cool a photo. Its a flavor I want too someday. Commandos make a beautiful chopper power plant.

Back then I remember Acme boots were the brand I bought, but I think you are right, thoes do look like Dingos
I didn't build it, I bought it lke that. someone in the L.A. area did that
had it up to 115mph once
