Loved my TL1000S too.
Eventually put on M4 exhaust and Power Commander.
Poor man's Ducati, kind of.

As part of my beat the lockdown blues routine I threw the dust covers of the old Harley the other day and wheeled her out for a check over and run up. Usually just takes a battery top up and away but, electrickery spoilt the day, click click die. After a good going over of all the fuses and relays, nothing simple anymore, ordered a new battery. Next day delivery, fitted and away she goes, sounding beautiful. Built like a tractor but the smell, sound and feel takes some beating. Roll on the spring!

What year and model HD do you have ?

How do you handle the heat off the rear cylinder ? Does it become an issue like it does on mine ? This year , I am trying out a leather flap that hangs over the rear jug at the front of the seat. Frankly , my Sportster makes a better touring (75 mph interstate) machine than the 961 . With those rubber mounts I would call it comfortable , and the only thing holding it back is the small tank size 3.5 US gal good for 150 miles leaving about 4/10ths gal in there. I can tour with it with that tank size , I did on the 961 . A 5 gal tank option would be awesome .

I mounted a bobber seat on mine, thin and minus the springs and hinge, and at 6+ sit slightly back. Took a while to get used to with the forward pegs etc. Good for a blast out but wouldn't recommend for the miles you do.

Very nice. Beautiful machine. I will add it to my top 100 bikes for purchase, when I develop my revolutionary new bike stacking and motorised access system. This will enable me to purchase my all time favourite 100 motorcycles and stack them in my bog standard suburban double garage! It’s still in the development stage :rolleyes: ! Well, a guy can still dream can’t he!!!!?

I saw this and like it for sure. It seems that the 3 cylinder background of Hinckley Triumph is even greater than its 2 cylinder . I had a 97 Trident . This Speed Triple looks like it will have the goods ! I may have to get one someday. Voodoo should give this a good look before he buys the KTM .
