What’s the best none Norton Norton ?

It's lightweight for sure, but the entire rear subframe is GFRP (Glass fiber reinforced polymer) - basically plastic.
Motor is 937cc Testastretta - 111HP, tuned for midrange torque, since the old The 999 testastretta made 138HP.
Also, too much black plastic around the motor.

uuuuummmmmm. Think you're forgetting one.

Nope. Didn’t forget the Aprilia. Just don’t care that it too is much the same as it’s big brother without fairings. Same route Ducati took with the Streetfighter in my opinion.
I know the Aprilia is fast, but it’s beyond my riding skills. I don’t need 15000 rpm power.

Totally different engine from the RSV4
I understand. My point is it’s practically the same chassis and bike. They just took from the RSV4 and made minor changes. I also think (my opinion) the tuono looks are out dated. I don’t see it as a ground up new slate. It’s fast, and has everything a track rat wants.
In my opinion the super duke is the only bike in that whole video that’s sole purpose was to be a naked from day one. I’m not taking anything away from the greatness of the other bikes, and I like the duc Streetfighter and the Tuono.
I actually consider the Tuono before buying my Ducati.
I know it get high reviews but I’ll never be able to take it to its full rpm range without running out of road.

the more I look at the KTM the more I like it’s edgy lines. It would be my next bike of choice.

Sort of. Nearly all of the Super Naked bikes have had Superbikes in their family of offerings.

Too many cylinders !
Don’t really want to own one but I’d love to ride one - bet it’d be a right gas!! I need my turn key bike to be a bit more versatile; longer legs, luggage, capable of straying (tentativel) off road etc. Of all of the retros with a nod to previous iconic bikes though, the Z900 is up there! Slightly biased though, as a kid I had the GPZ1100 Unitrack follwed by the GPZ900R when it first came out. Always liked me a big Kwacka!

Nice Eddie but wouldn’t even contemplate swapping it for the the Kato. I suspect the 990 would spank the scrambler in just about every conceivable scenario, despite the fact that it’s 10 years old! Why would I downgrade!? ;)

When I read your post I thought you were looking for such!

I’d keep the KTM too. Very cool bike.

That looks like a first year 1997 TL1000S and would imagine the owner is on either TLPlanet or TLZone
I still have two 1998 1000S models, the candy tone lime yellow one bought in 2004 and a Novelty black one bought in 2000
They are good bikes once you go through them, the engines will go 100000 miles/160000 kms plus easily if looked after.
Both of the ones I have got GSXR 1000 front ends and Ohlin's rears.

Edit.
The one above looked like this when I rode it the 70 or so kms home after buying it, promptly pulled it to pieces and 5 months later rolled it out of the garage loading a FI map via a cable out a bedroom window.
It never missed a beat in the next 56000 kms.

Just like old British bikes or cars (or 961's it seems) , go though them and they are good to go.
