WE HAVE A NORTON OWNERS CLUB MEET INVITE IN NORTHAMPTONSHIRE ??????

Hi Mark I was near to the Welford this afternoon checked local weather for Sunday looking good. Lee called me tonight meeting up with him at the Super Sausage then onto Norton village White Horse pub then onto Welford with Stuart an Lee. Hope to meet you there.

The plan is coming together JC. If WR can get his disc bolts tightened for the trip then I hope to tag along with him from the Peterborough end and if we aren't delayed by a 2nd cup of coffee then we might just make the 11:30 rendezvous at the White Horse.
 
No problem Martin do you or WR want me to bring tools to check his disk bolts checked mine tonight all ok but this should never happen.The weather seems to be against us I will be riding mine up to Silverstone tomorrow morning to get my miles up want o get it run in ASAP the handling is additive . Anyone know what Loctite we should use on WRs disc bolts as i have various types could bring them to Welford.
 
Sorry Eddie with Britfan rode a Z900 last Sunday can see why people want one could not afford one in the 70s but just maybe now.
 
Fearnoughts and oilskins for early starters tomorrow. Trust the NOC members will have some cleaning kit on hand. Don't forget 2p for the phone in case of breakdowns!
 
Darn the forecast changes so quickly. Kettering doesn't look too bad with no hint of the wet stuff but up here in Lincs the morning ride will be rain,rain,rain - I guess my wax will get it's first real test.

Sorry lads but got caught in heavy rain this afternoon spent 2 hours cleaning the bike so if its raining tomorrow morning i will not be coming but hopefully it will be dry and we will have a great day.
 
It looks like the East Coast, Lincolnshire down through Cambridgeshire and beyond has heavy rain all morning so I might take an initial hit with the rain and head for Leicestershire as quick as poss where forecast looks dry. This will mean taking a longer 'scenic route' which A) will be great fun if roads are dry, B) help dry me out and C) will make me miss the 11:30@Norton but should be ok for Welford@noon.

The weather is improving coming from south,I be at the 11.30 initial meet ,my number is 07886182449 if req,we should leave there by 11.40/11.45 so any one running late go straight to Welford
 
Weather apps have dramatically improved in the kettering area. Last night was horrendous, close to losing control of the car on the A1 inside lane.
 
I'm in Rutland and looking at the earlier posts it sound like some of you might be passing nearby. What's the current plan for riding in from the east?
 
Weather here is dry at mo. I plan to leave at 10 to arrive around noon. I can come down via Oundle or Oakham way but I wouldn't get to those till after 11. Let me know if you want to hook up still.

Oakham works for me, I’m only 5 minutes away.
