Or right on the A14 theres a big BP garage and possibly a little thief around the kettering area.

The agony of choice WR, any of them are great for me , but for the boys & maybe girls coming from de east it may add 30 miles on the journey , by the time they go 15 miles past Welford on the A14 to Kettering only to come back again ,think we need to get to the “ wharf inn “ by midday , so we can all or some meet at a fuel stop or just arrive when u can at the pub , several arriving together would be great & I can tell u from experience having 961 s infront & behind , overtakes , the noise , has got to be on your wish list
 
PLAN A would be meeting at the “ WHARF INN “ and maybe
then once we all there we could go on a ride out with head cam / video / camera if we have one between us!
PLAN B would be all meeting at a fuel stop on A14 late morning & all being well ride the last 15 miles in formation/ together/one behind the other ,two a breast & last one to the pub buys the drinks ! ???
 
Plan 'A' for me, look to arrive 12:00 with the option of a group bimble once there.
Already considering a quick stop at Norton, Daventry, NN11 2ND. (14 miles south of the Wharf Inn) For a photo stop on the way up.

There's a Norton design company in Daventry, is that what you are referring to?
 
Hi W R going to Kettering tomorrow is this meet on the 13th anywhere near Peterborough hope to go as long as running in my its not to slow. No problem meeting you at any of the places you say above.Do you ever get to Jacks cafe at Towcester on Friday nights or the Super Sausage at Pottersbury on Sundays.

John, Welford is approx. 40 mile from P'bro and you should be good for 60mph during your running in. I will be going down from Boston and was going to bypass P'bro but if you, Richard or anyone else would like company I'm happy to meet up.
 
Just ha a look at the venue mate would be better to meet Stuart and ride from Towcester to Norton Crick to venue can we not maybe have a ride out from the pub if there is enough interest. Do not want to hold up the knee scratchers with my bike running in .
 
No mate between Milton Keynes and Silverstone but travel around the area with my job. I am willing to meet up anywhere as i want to get some miles on my bike to run it in. Not looking forward to that just finished running in my GT750 two weeks ago so want to get this one sorted before summer comes.
 
Just did a google maps navigation check from Silverstone to Welford and coming all the way to Thrapston and then left on the A14 is quite a bit out of your way Mr C.

Checked Lincoln to Welford and best route is via Newark and other side of Melton but cannot be much in it coming via Peterborough then A605 then A14 to Welford.
 
I was going to cut across country from Boston to Oakham/Uppingham/Market Harborough and come into Welford from the top, not a lot in it distance wise just takes a little longer as it's sweeping B roads all the way! I could go down to Stamford then Corby and on to Kettering but I would be on A roads for most of the trip.

Good for me, I'll aim for 11:30 in the White Horse car park. Photo at the Norton village roadsign is a 'must do' before we leave for the Wharf Inn.
