The new anti association laws and bikie crack down

The pleece are going to have a good long hard look at this.
It was quoted a good while back that something like 70% of accidents were running into the back of the vehicle in front.

A lot of bike riders have long said it is dangerous to be speedo watching,
and far safer to concentrate on what is happening ahead and forget about the speedo.

P.S. Ask if the road statistics include severe brain injuries and paralysis cases.
Fat lot of good a reduction in deaths is if l'hopitales are filling up....

The latest thing on the news is that the bikie taskforce is now going into schools as they are now saying that the outlaw bikie gangs are recriting school gang members to join bikie gangs, what a lot of crap, but then it must be true as they had the police Commissioner on TV saying so, as well kids today have a lot more money to spend and will always experment with drugs, it was happening when I was at high school in the early 70s, I think the bikie gangs have enough problems doing their business underground these days to worry about recruting school kids to do their business and lot of bikie members have kids as well.

If you've got kids, always watch out for the peer group. My son was bullied at school because he won a race at the school sports, and he also refused to smoke dope - so he must have been a suck. Some of the kids find friends simply so they can finance their own drug habits. After my son had left secondary school and was working, the little soldiers would still be seeking him out, knowing that he had cash. In our town there are two bikie gangs and I know the leaders of both. One of the gangs was lead by the main dealer in our area, who was obviously being protected from prosecution until we got the lady police commissioner, who immediately sacked 5 corrupt members of the force. And it has gone on from there and is still proceeding with certain police protesting their innocence about their involvement in serious crime. The main problem seems to be that the drug squad make contact with the gangs in the course of their duties, then anything can happen.

Privatize Everything.

Abolish the gasoline tax, abolish the road taxes, the licensing fees too.

The roads should all be toll roads and the owners should be liable for lawsuits if they don't maintain them or otherwise neglect the safe passage of their customers over those roads.

The high death toll on public roads results largely from the fact that politicians control the roads and they make themselves, and all things that they control, immune from lawsuit. OK, in some places people can sue, but then the politicians don't care anyway because they pay off the claims with OPM - other people's money.

Imagine how loud the squealing and hollering would be, from the press and the college professors, if we had this same level of carnage on the roads IF the roads were owned privately, say . . . by Ford or GM or Toyota ! ! ! ! But no . . . . , since the roads are socialized . . . . . and the press and the college profs approve of that . . . . . none of them gives a rat's hind end about all the harm caused by the negligence of the police and the highway departments.

Wouldn't it be great if we could hire out the best motorcycle riding roads for an occasional "biker day?"

Or, wouldn't it be great? if there were narrow "single track" motorcycle only roads, built by some entrepreneur who saw the potential money to be made with "motorcycle tourist" roads?

How about a developer of some hillside property with views of the ocean says to his prospective buyers "look, we can pay for a really nice road that will enhance the value of your lot by renting it out once a year for a motorcycle race; we can compete with the Isle of Man . . . . . . and we will design it with that use in mind . . . and you, the owners of the road can even use it as your own private race track if you want - at certain times or days . . . ."

How about if that sort of thing was common, all over the world, because the tradition was . . . private roads?

Privatize the Roads!

This is a bit off topic but, kids today have to much money to waste, underage drinking is easy for them and money to buy pot and other drugs is easy to come by, wheather its being sold at school from a young one that has bikie gang influance or not, who knows and when these kids party they like to get pissed and out of it as fast as possiable they don't know or understand how to control thenselfs.

Yes peer pressure is the biggest thing with kids at school, all the kids have their own little groups of friends, you have the so call cool kids that smoke cigs and dope who think they are the coolest kids around, my daughter is in her last year of school and understands this to be her hardest and most important part of studies, she know she needs to improve on her marks from being a bit slack the early years of High school, but there is so much pressure on her from idiots that are just wasting their lives and how important its going to be for their future in working life.

My Daughter had her 17 year old party a few weeks ago at home and about 50 or more kids around her age were invited, I just stayed up in the shed and had a few drinks with a mate just to keep a watch on them the party was a outside party and had to be finished at midnight, the party was registed with the local police, they were great they kept a eye out and anyone lottering out the front were just told to go back inside the yard, it was a well behaved party, but these kids can drink and there was some that smoked a bit of pot, the only trouble I had was when a father came to pick his daughter up he had to show off with his high powered Nissan sports car and started to do big rev outs down the street, he did this 3 times and this was after his daughter was in the car with him.

When I went down the front to sort it out a few of the kids were egging him on, when i got up them about it one big tall kid stood up to me and wanted to bash me, I stood my ground and told him how tuff is he wanting to bash a 55 year old who had invite them to a great party, his mates thruoght I was right and made him feel so stupid as they all know one punch can kill, then the police arrived to check out why they were out the front but the party was just about finished and they were waiting for their rides home.

By the way my daughter crashed in a big way and was sick as a dog, she didn't even see the end of her own party, found out she been drinking straight shots of Jack Daniels and shuffer all next day.

I have 3 kids from my previous marriage. Whenever I was not at night school studying, I was usually with them. I taught them at an early age, to play all the board games, chess, dominoes and cards. They eventually managed to beat me at most of them however I am still the monopoly champion. The kids were never interested in sleep-overs or parties, so I rarely saw the peer group in our house. Even today as adults they still play all those old games when they get together. It did create one problem. My second son is one of those people with whom you name your game and he will beat you at it. He is an engineer in the construction industry - had his heart attack at age 43. My youngest is a girl - a lawyer, and she is the sanest of us all. The oldest is like his mother, very strict and rule bound, and I cannot understand that.
The drugs and grog have never been a problem in our family - I think a lot depends on 'leading by example'.
About the police and the bikie gangs, I personally know a lot of both groups, I tend to stay away from them - it is difficult to tell them apart. What is happening in Queensland is not about bikie gangs - that is only the excuse. It is about association, dissent and protest - politics.
