If you like to think of the bike as a sort of marriage, where you get used to, and even start appreciating the weird sides about the bike after a while when you are getting to know it. You will enjoy every euro (or dollar, pound, etc) you spent on it.
On the other hand... if you want a perfect driving bike, that looks oke and 'just' does what you say... you will regret your purchase. Like Der says... I can tell you 100 negative stories about my 961, and 1 positive one. I still love it and i won't sell it ;-)
But i do hope, to stay on topic, that parts supply will be sorted in the future. Maybe some aftermarket parts wouldn't hurt too. For the price of a countershaft sprocket i can buy a whole chain kit for another bike.
