What shifter is this and is it an original?

It looks like an upgrade but I have no idea.

It came from the bike I’m building and I may need to buy it. The guy I bought my frame from has a lot of parts for sale, some I’m interested in like this linkage.

Any one have any idea?

Yes, it's a 'rear set' footrest linkage of a similar type to these:

Kickstart lever is 850 Mk3 (or Mk1A/Mk2A) type.

They place the rider's feet further back which is generally considered more comfortable when riding fast.

Thanks, like rear sets on a sport bike. I get it. I’m not planning on going so fast as I need my feet set back.

We’re these stock on 850’s?

I have the Madass rear set kit still to fit, which i believe are in similar design to Dunstall units,
I know i cant fit the extra length T160 lever, so it looks like my options are limited,
On seeing the above picture of a mk3 850 lever, can i ask what the differences are from the pre Mk3 lever... checking the parts the shaft is the same unit in both so it has to be external differences?? and will this fit with the rear sets??
What I'm really looking for is extra length (aren't we all ;)) to aid easier kicking over

My MK3 lever I bought in the 80's is the same length as the RGM T160 folding lever I bought to replace it, so someone has made longer MK3 levers at some point. I have a use for it and saves buying another T160.
