I posted my experiences on AFR monitoring here:

A začala blikať dovtedy nefunkčná kontrolka paliva. Motorku som si zobral domov, nasadil originál skladovú riadiacu jednotku a motorka funguje. Myslíte si, že jednotka SCS Delta 400S je chybná? Vie mi niekto poradiť s postupom reklamácie? Sorry za angličtinu - som zo Slovenska a používam prekladač

Problem with SCS Delta 400 S. Two weeks ago I received a SCS Delta 400S from the manufacturer for my 2018 Euro4 Commando 961 Sport. The first problem was that the connecting connector of the cable was deformed and did not fit into the original Norton connector. I was able to fix it by hand. I drove about 400 kilometers on the motorcycle, everything was relatively fine, only there were bad cold starts where I had to start with added gas. Another problem was a malfunctioning fuel light. Today, after driving about 10 km, I turned off the engine, took the key out of the ignition and the warning lights were still on. It was no longer possible to start the motorcycle. After turning on the ignition, the fuel pump did not start and the starter did not turn on when the start button was pressed. And the fuel light, which had not worked until then, started flashing. I took the motorcycle home, installed the original stock control unit and the motorcycle works. Do you think the SCS Delta 400S unit is defective? Can anyone advise me on the complaint procedure? Sorry for the English - I'm from Slovakia and I use a translator.

Call SCS and thell them the problem . They should send you an exchange and also let them know that the adapter plug is not fitting well . It may be a connection issue with the harness , so send everything back to them after you call them.

Problém vyriešený, veľmi seriózne správanie výrobcu SCS Delta - potvrdili, že ECU je chybná a hneď mi poslali novú

Problem solved, very serious behavior from the manufacturer SCS Delta - they confirmed that the ECU was faulty and immediately sent me a new one.

Seems like a happy ending.

ECU has arrived from SCS

I'll be fitting it this evening

Is there a way I can post a video of it starting up? Hopefully it will... 🤞

Hello Gazz , Looking forward to your progress report. Keep the OMEX ecu for a fall back , I still have my SC Typhoon . And also , can you tell us why you are changing to the Delta 400 ? Is there a specific complaint you are fixing or do you just want the open accessibility ?

Good morning....

Whilst I was waiting for the ECU I blocked the throttle body shared passage and completely removed the idle control. It's a 2018 Euro 4 bike, I have removed the cat and have the louder long pea shooter type exhaust silencers, narrow band sensors are still connected.

I started it yesterday, started 1st touch of the button, it idled at 1250 straight away. Immediately I could hear that the engine sounded a lot happier, smoother and quieter... I let it warm up and revved it up a bit, it seemed to pick up quite nicely. I think I may now have some popping on the overrun, we'll see.

Obviously the main test is going to be out on the road under load, I will try it out this morning, rain permitting...

I have a couple of videos of the start up, I can't seem to find a way of posting them here, Cliff said he would attempt to do so for me, hope you'll be able to see it..

As for problems I'm trying to cure I'll post up later..

I'll let you know how it goes

Just got back from a 45 mile run...

My impression so far is.. It's starts and idles really well, about 1200 ish from cold and about 1300 when hot, I've slowed the hot down on the grub screw, now about 11/1200, idle is even and smooth, what's even better is that it's much much quieter, far less clatter. My friend noticed it straight away.

Pulling away is so much smoother and easier, hardly any clatter from the engine when letting out the clutch, noticeably better after a short shifting, I don't have to slip the clutch as much.

When motoring along and starting to accelerate the engine sounds completely different than before, much more induction roar. I was concerned about popping on overrun, it was negligible, I'm happy about that. It revved cleaning up to the 7.5k red line without and hiccup. I would say it maybe not quite as crisp when accelerating as before, it's difficult to tell as the engine sounds different.

All in all very happy with my decision to change.

I changed because of a number of reasons, firstly the accessibility, I don't want to be stuck with an ECU I can't access and turn off the EML , think an EML showing is an MOT failure here in the UK???

Secondly my bike was pouring fuel out of the RH cylinder exhaust on start up, on occasions and I do mean pouring out, swapped over the injectors but the fault remained on the RH side. I was told it was an faulty injector driver on the ECU which was causing this. On a recent ride and whilst giving it some beans it popped and missed at approx 7k a couple of times and later blew a 5amp fuse, the one for the ECU and other components... never really when well after this.

Thirdly, now the ECU is fully programmable i intend to get a map on a rolling road, make sure the bike is running the best it can..

There is only one real problem with the ECU.. next post

The only problem is making space for it.. here are a couple of shots comparing in to my Omex.

Being Euro 4 I also have the ABS taking up space. This is how I have manage to fit it in, two relays and fuse box aren't currently secured, I also think the loom is touching the underside of the seat..

Where have othe Euro 4 owners located thier Delta 400??

That's my experience so far...

Hi Gazz , You may be the first ! Good Job . I havent heard of an OMEX failure before , even though there must have been some . So your OMEX ecu failed and this is a very legitimate reason for replacement.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to upload the video ( not sure if videos are allowed?). Gazz is going to try to host it himself, but if not I’ll do it.
