Saturday is CR Day for me!

My tank for reference. Any questions, just ask

Saturday is CR Day for me!
Is yours a TAB tank? Being a welder fabricator, I look at TAB tanks and marvel at them, they are proper class. Then I "know" that I can do one and have the satisfaction of having done it myself, after many hours of making a buck, fabbing the tank, then deciding I don't like that bit and re-doing it all again!

Your skills are to be respected sir. So what do you think about making a new alu. tailpiece to match then.? Always been an issue for me; I love polished tanks but don't like the contrast with the painted tail.

I see my 961CR as a keeper so acknowledge that floppy tank syndrome is as inevitable with the advancing years as other items best left unmentioned:( so expect to purchase one eventually. If your answer is yes then would people prefer an alternative to the standard 'Haya' knock-off rear end? Get those pencils and cigarette packets out guys.....

Anyone brave enough to start a 'best looking rear end thread?.....'

Funnily enough, my mate has a CF Domiracer seat unit.

Skills? It's just bashing tin.

What I lack is the creativity to vizualise a new shape.

I strongly suggest avoiding this:oops:!!!

Interesting comparison between the Silver and Black CR wearing the TAB tank. I’m the first to admit that it works better with the Silver colour scheme - for obvious reasons.

Still tossing up having elements of the tank painted; no need on the silver dream machine!👍 Wouldn’t mind the matching pair! Need to jettison those fugley indicators though Kev!

Yeh indicators are on the list. Bike is currently with Stu so won't get round to changing them for a while.

Got a link to yours?

Expensive Kev, but top quality. Very discreet CR type indicator - the shape sorta’ reminds me of the 961 tail unit. I fitted the resistors also - never did work out whether they were required or not.
