I spoke to my dealer today and after nearly two months of waiting, my CR is there, has been PDI'd and should be ready Saturday.
He needs to speak to Norton to get a registration/number plate.
Then tell me and I insure it.
Then he taxes it from Saturday.
Finance has to do their thing.

Every day can be a CR day !

Good choice. I've got the cafe racer - I find it perfectly comfortable to ride, and it look so much better than the sport.
Prefer the CR myself - personal choice of course.

What’s comfortable for one is an instrument of torture for others! Thunderbolt’s height, or whether he falls into the ‘short leg long arms brigade’ will likely determine whether he finds it comfortable or not - and age of course.

Although ‘perfectly comfortable’ is never a term I’ve heard to describe the 961CR - I’m deeply jealous!🤣

Did 1k miles on my CR in a few days at the TT last year and it was ok. I've been on WAY worse
You look like a man of a certain build though Kev!!;)

I will take that as a compliment!

I'm definitely in the short-leg/long-arm mob. I'm 6ft but wear 32inch jeans. My mate who's about 5'8" has the same leg length and can't even get on my CR nevermind ride it.

🤣 Compliment intended of course!! Comfort is definitely a height/proportions proposition.

Think yourself lucky Kev - those like myself that don’t fit have to put up with the pain or pay up! Adjustable drops are expensive - my next purchase!!

I've got a lifetime of riding and racing bicyles and still regularly do 100mile + rides in spite of being 60 years old. The riding position on the CR is actually not all that much different to a racing bicycle.....
Most I've ridden on the CR in a day is around 250 miles. Must admit was feeling a bit stiff after that !

Short legs, check.
Short arms too.
Short everything in fact.
