You're a bit quick on the criticism for someone who's only joined a week ago.The weld : head stock to down tube drifts away at the bottom and does not connect anything .. shows porr concentration
I don't see anything wrong with that welding? But then I'm not a bronze welderThe weld : head stock to down tube drifts away at the bottom and does not connect anything .. shows porr concentration
I agree. My brother was hit by Calamity Jane over 10 years ago and he got about $60,000 US.There is nothing to celebrate, the money I receive so far is peanuts!
The value of blood, sweat and tears is very low here in Belgium.
He may have a point though, difficult from photographs but I think I would ask for an opinion on that and I can Sif bronze weld. You're a bit quick on the criticism for someone who's only joined a week ago.
The clear coat will obviously show "flaws" that are invisible under paint.

The blasting was made by Herman De Bie from Wilsele Belgium

Thanks Herman
Indeed Yves. I think the frame is therefore fine.
I did a jump to my wokshop to day and inspect the weld, I am not a expert but I don't see anything wrong.Indeed Yves. I think the frame is therefore fine.
In post 25 the picture looks like the weld at the bottom isn't making full contact from the headstock to the down tube,I did a jump to my wokshop to day and inspect the weld, I am not a expert but I don't see anything wrong.

Herman, you like your job and you can feel it, always garantee for perfectionIt was an honor for us to blast such an iconic frame for an iconic man! Thanks for the opportunity and i try to do the cylinders en head with the same perfection!
I hope that I am wrong however small things like porosity and run offs are easily overlooked and subsequently can leed to failure. I wish you great sucess with your build and look forward to seeing more of it Cheers IanHi Iam,
I am open to critiscims even if you are member only one day.
I will take a closer look to the weld to day.
The frame was made by Roger Titchmarch, the man that own the rights from Collin Seeley and also the jigs.
It's well know that the welding from Titchmarch are better as the one from Collin Seeley.
The frame was made by Titchmarch and sale to Minovation racing UK and the sale the frame to Kenny Cumings NY.
I can not imagine that this very experimented mens will let pas a frame with a bad weld.
Yves
I will make new pics rom the weld, so you will see there is nothing wrongThe little black line/spec at the end point makes it appear that the weld is adjacent the end of the tube rather than half on it. If the black line is the end of the tube, it is a problem.
If the black line is just a bit of gunk and the weld is where it should be, straddling both pieces, then there's no problem.
